I heard about some dreadful things said to some bloke about his young son on the periphery of the ground (Millwall fans I think). The whole thing is ultimately about standards and values and what is acceptable and what is not.

What you meant to say is that it was posted on here. I'm not saying it didn't happen (I doubt Buzzer would lie about it) but it is worth mentioning the context.

Oooh, stop being so cheeky you lot. Of course most teams will have some gay fans, but I think we are unique in having a 100% homosexual fan base.

You may have to explain where Narnia is to me.

In the book (and film adaptation) the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

Narnia is accessed via the wardrobe,

In Narnia there is a character called Aslan, this, by dining with Aslan you are in Narnia which means you are a long way in a wardrobe (closet)

I really hope you genuinely wanted it explained and weren't being sarcastic as if you were I may look a little like a plonker

Well it wasn't on here, it was when I was chatting to an another Albion fan. And if we're not doubting Buzzer, then I guess the context is irrelevant.

Can I just add, having read back:

The thread title is truly awful. It's accusatory yet ambiguous. This, of course, has allowed the usual trolls to open the thread and, seeing as it's not to their taste, ruin it. I've no problem with journalists coming on the board looking for willing volunteers but the volunteers have to be willing and the thread title obvious. I wonder how many of you will find yourself quoted whether you like it or not?

But we're the club who suffers the homophobic abuse, it's really not that complicated.

Well I for one don't 'suffer' homophobic abuse. Let them sing, we take the pizz too. I don't lose a moments sleep that Brighton might be the Gay Centre of the Universe. Gays obviously have taste to choose to live here. I've met hundreds of gay people and they are some of the nicest and most talented folk I know. Just embrace it, we are lucky living in this part of the country and following our club has never been more promising.

I've just opened this thread on way home tonight and was astonishes me is the complete same OTT reaction and old jokes from our own fans who constantly say who unoriginal and boring this subject is on matchdays! Talk about pot and kettle!!

Anyway, as others have said, ITN or anyone else only have to use the search and PM functionality to get more than enough content.

I'd rather ITN investigated proper stories though such as where the FA cup final money went, unmask BIG Hilda and doing a rogue traders special on focus DIY in the 90s.

I would think it would be more interesting to hear the views of a gay Millwall fan that has to sit on his hands when we play them and they hurl the usual jibes, or worst at each of their home matches.

What have you heard  I'm not gay ...whatever!!! I just help out when they get busy at weekends!

I don't know why the geezer is getting so much stick. Outside of London, Brighton has the highest % of gays does it not??? London has 12/13 clubs in the top four divisions, Brighton has 1. Seems the logical place to do a survey into anything gay related to me.
There are a lot of gay people in Brighton....but a lot of them come from other places in the UK...so to the journo....1-0 to the Nancy boys....

At least this journalist is attempting to get some opinions from new people rather then the same people like every other report. When that law on homophobic chanting was made a few months ago, every time I turned the radio on or watched the news, Liz Costa was being interviewed on it. It is about time the media started asking someone else. Perhaps this journalist will realise that most of our supporters don't care about homophobic chanting.

Please can you post your article on here when you have written it? People on here here don't have a right to criticise until they have read what you have to say. But then again, this is NSC.

The media were asking someone else (see post number 1) sadly (as far as I am aware) up to now all he has is 5 pages and 90 odd posts of utter toss.
