I posted hard facts on how they’ve outspent everyone in world football. It’s been pointed out to Neville after Manure losses on Sky, he never listens.

I think I’ve offended your secret passion for the club.
Not at all. Crap fans, crap owners, but they've clearly spent small fortunes every season since Ferguson retired and mainly on absolute rubbish. I don't think I recall Neville ever blaming the owners for not spending because that would be bonkers when they've spent billions. Just having no strategy.

I do agree their fans are fickle on the Glazers. Green and Gold is a joke as it only comes out when they are losing.

As for him being a hypocrite though, I'm not a fan of Neville interviewing Beckham in Qatar for his YouTube channel without acknowledging the controversies, that does seem a bit off. But maybe i should watch his latest documentary on the subject

I still like his hour with Martin Lewis on Wednesdays, as ML does all the talking! The TV reviews with good media guests on Mondays is the other highlight.

I used to like Nihal show, there were some sensitive interviews with people on the wrong side of the tracks. But in the end I simply got bored …. a middle age Nihal taking to 25 year rappers as his “mate” and insecurely banging on about his club scene days. On repeat.

I just never warmed to him…but then I think I’m not his target audience…though he’s still in the job so must be doing something right

Well, that's the reason I like him.

His interview with Beth Orton on Monday (?) was an absolute car crash though.

At what age do you have to stop saying "dude" then?!

When should one start? Unless of course one is American.

Gary Neville's a brilliant talker and he's so absolutely clear on his opinions and beliefs. He's very clear that the country and the Labour party needs to unite behind its leader. Less infighting, less squabbling. The country needs a strong Labour party, focused on how it is going to beat the Conservatives at the next election because the people who will vote this government are set in stone. What Labour need to do is get out the people who don't usually vote in order to make the difference.

He's also very clear on his criticism of the Man Utd ownership - it isn't about money invested, they top every chart for that. His point, if you actually take a moment to listen to him, is that no money has been spent on the club which wouldn't have been spent otherwise. The revenues generated by the club are being reinvested, there's no external investment happening and the spending spending spending is to mask the lack of investment that has gone into the infrastructure of the club and the playing squad. He has been critical of their desperate need to have the most expensive players on the most lucrative contracts, and he is of course absolutely right. They have no structure, no plan and no vision. All things we do have at our club.

I like Gary Neville, and agree with most of his politics and how he conducts himself, but he is very wrong about Qatar and the WC, as is his mate David who's getting £10m for promoting Qatar.

The whole thing from its procurement, to change the calendar just doesn't feel right......

Have a read of the below and have a listen and make up your own mind, but if this is how you treat the man in charge of promoting Qatar to the world then .......

Marc was an avid Brighton fan, his children might be on the board so please bear that in mind with any comments.

Indeed.

Gary Neville using the platform that his celebrity affords him, to highlight injustice in both football governance and society, to people who might otherwise not be engaged in such things, is entirely laudable.

eh..?

That fact that it so massively triggers a load of broflake gammon, is just a huge added bonus.
9 posts a a day averaged out over 17 years .....and you talk about triggered ...ok mate :lolol:

its really quite obvious if your broflake gammonistas are internet based , if not then less so , my thoughts on Qatar are above , i might use it to make money , which is what it's all about after all..

Nope. Still at a loss.

What is the connection between me wasting two decades of work time, writing random nonsense about crisps flavours, transfer rumours, sexiest athletes, hardest creatures, Jake Forster Caskey, irritating workmates, Sussex cricket and everything in between, and angry gammon getting aerated because Gary Neville dares opine on things other than football tactics?

can you please confirm is it a particular gammon that you think has been triggered or is there a plethora of them......come to think of it what is the correct term for a group of gammons ..?

any idea...? a moan of gammons , a flurry , a gaggle...??
