Do you think so?
I'd have thought that grooming a new manager in-house just as we are grooming the next generation of new players fits in pretty well with the apparent policies of the club. If Jones stays I think the idea is that the job is his when, inevitably, Hughton moves on at some point in the future.

Yes, I think its a massive stretch to have Jones as the shoe-in new manager here when Hughton departs. The step-up from No2 to No1 is a big step, and littered with failed attempts. Not exclusively I grant you, but for the most part. Who knows how Jones will progress under CH, he might just be suited to that tracksuit role. If he goes elsewhere and proves himself then you can't rule anything out, but like I say, I don't forsee him being all but guaranteed the job by any means once CH goes.

All so hypothetical anyway its barely worth considering !

If Nathan is happy here he should stay. I am sure we pay more and are more secure. Yeovil have been losing and unless he can reverse the trend he will be out. Surely that is the sort of job for somebody out of work with nothing to lose.

Jonsey has just gone backwards by staying here, can't believe he wouldn't want to prove himself, if he goes good luck to him.

The club, with CH must have had the conversation with NJ,about his future. My guess is that NJ has said that he would like his own managers job,but is happy at Brighton until that may or may not happen....hence Calderwoods appointment.......(and good luck to him,i shall follow his career with interest )

I would doubt that happened as Calderwood was assistant to CH at Newcastle, Norwich and Birmingham.

Quite liked Johnson...got Yeovil up into the championship..talked sense and although they went down straightaway did a decent job on very limited resources imho
Obviously with them bottom again they've thought it was time for a change.

If he goes and does a good job at Yeovil he will be in an even better place but if he has a rocky ride it could screw a pretty much guaranteed future as the next manager at The Amex.
Difficult call for a man with ambition.

I agree i get the feeling he impressed some important people at our club during his caretaker tenure hence why there were reassurances he was being kept as part of the team. But its also the case of whether NJ wants to strike while the irons hot and move whilst his stock is high.

Would be sad to see him go but the best of luck to him should he get the job.

Perhaps there should be a manager loan system like with players. Nathan pops back to Yeovil for a season or so and helps them out before returning with a bit more managerial experience. It's a bit of a win/win so I don't see why something like that couldn't happen

Looks like they are destined for League 2, so wouldn't have thought he would go.
Saying that, why did Mickey Adams drop a division to take on Tranmere, who are also relegation prospects?

Suprised as was told they couldnt afford to sack him, they have had no money this season, shite crowds, no womder because the charge over 20 quid on match day for a ticket, and hardley do anything to increase their fanbase, would be a bold move if nathan did take as they are on a slippery slope, all the money has gone
