Right here, right now
I would guess before, same as Kerry Mayo's game.

Yes you can - go to Buy Online and click on July on the left hand side - you will then see the Charlton fixture
All very well ... until up pops the message "You have selected too many tickets for this performance. Please try a different price level or choose fewer tickets".

I can't believe that 2 tickets in the North Stand is "too many".

Polegate
Mayo, Butters, Cullip, Jones, Watson, Steele, Carpenter, Oatway, Brooker - or any of the Championship winning sides would be good.

Looking forward to it:)

I went into the Club Shop today - in fact I went into Brighton for this very purpose! - to buy 4 North Stand Centre tickets. A pointless journey as it happens because it's not just online North Stand tickets that aren't available, it's ANY North Stand ticket if you aren't a season ticket holder in there. Currently, there's no knowledge of when these tickets might be available either which is even more irritating!

I quite understand that why North Stand season ticket holders should get first pick of their own seats but there has to be an EARLY decision as to when the restriction will be lifted or people will start buying the cheaper South Stand tickets (which means less money will go to Gary's Fund) or worse, losing interest altogether because the simple job that should be buying a ticket is, in reality, a much more complicated and unrewarding process than it should be.

Also, and this is very much my opinion only, there should be very few free tickets available to anyone (Gary and his family and friends excepted). It's a testimonial game, not a chance for the prawn sandwich brigade to prance about on a freebie. So while the main sponsor will obviously get a hospitality package given their outlay, there's no need to scatter reserved seats around like confetti.

North Stand Centre tickets are available to Season Ticket Holders only until Friday 13th June. From Monday 16th June they will go on sale to the general public, and also be available via the web. North Stand Wings are on sale now in the Club Ticket Office.

It is a long established principle within BHAFC that Season Ticket holders do get a limited time to reserve their seats. This year the period has been longer than for Kerry's testimonial because of the fact that the tickets went on sale during the close season. However, the above dates have now been agreed with the club.

To address Roz's other point, reserved seats are not being "scattered around like confetti"

A limited number of seats in the North Stand have been reserved for hospitality packages and the players in the Legends game.

Please note that there are NO FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT ALL FOR ANYBODY. Inland Revenue rules dictate this. Even Gary has to purchase tickets for his Wife and Family and each and every one of the Legends also has to have a ticket that is paid for. (this is the same as for Kerry's match where there were also no "freebies")

Of course, if someone books a multi-person hospitality package (VERY REASONABLY PRICED INCIDENTALLY) then it is up to them who they give their seats to .... but those seats will still have been paid for.

.

That is not correct because I went into buy my 3 season ticket seats today and was told that I could not have them as they have been reserved for OGH guests.

According to the young Man in the ticket office ALL CENTRE BLocks of North Stand are reserved for OGH. I had to make do with ones on the side if it had been for anybody other than him I would have told them to stuff em but he is Bens favourite.

What on earth is going on?

Only I have a very courteous message on my mobile phone from someone in the ticket office confirming that North Stand Centre tickets wouldn't be on sale until the 16th to allow season ticket holders in those seats to have priority. Which was fair enough. But if you can't actually buy tickets yourselves, what was the point in making the rest of us wait?

It's Gary's testimonial game and he deserves the best seats in the house and as many of them as he wants but why wasn't he given the centre section from the outset? That way there would have been no need to make completely erroneous announcements that allowed season ticket holders to assume they had priority and other people to assume they had a chance to buy tickets in that area and thus wait several quite unecessary weeks before having to buy tickets in other sections of the ground.

???

It's irritating on a personal basis but what's more concerning is the effect that this sort of muddle has on ticket sales overall since there's only a finite number of conflicting messages that people can tolerate before deciding not to bother altogether!

Ok -- here are the facts as the Testimonial Committee know them (but please bear in mind that the ticketing arrangements are being conducted by the club on our behalf).

It is not true that ALL centre North Stand Seats are reserved for OGH.

A limited number have been set aside for hospitality places and also for the legends to sit in once they have completed their game.

I do not know the precise number but it will be the standard hospitality allocation plus around 60 (for the legends + 1 guest each.) I would hazard a guess that this is around 250 seats given that upstairs in hospitality is around 125 and downstairs is around 65

The remainder of the North Stand Central blocks is available to Season Ticket Holders only until end of tomorrow --- however this does not guarantee you your actual season ticket seat that you used last season, particularly if you are in front of the Directors Box, as this is where the legends will be going (as I understand things).

In addition, the season ticket situation is in a little bit of flux at present as this is the close season and the ticket office are busily allocating next seasons seating taking into account the wishes of those who want to move seats, add seats etc.

So in essence, as a North Stand Central Block Season Ticket Holder, you have priority for booking a seat in the North Stand Central Block until end of tomorrow, but this will not necessarily be your seat from last season (although of course, if available, you can request this)

Perhaps this is where things got confusing when dealing with Ben's Grandad's request - if he asked for a specific seat number, then, if it is very central it may well have been reserved for the likes of Gordon Smith or Steve Foster.

However, you are still able to purchase North Stand seats however, as the number of North Stand Season Ticket holders is (obviously) less than the number of seats available.

From Saturday, all remaining unsold tickets go on general release.

Hope this lifts the fog slightly
