When you earn 150k a week to play in the premiershit, I would agree players shouldn't drink during the season. For that money they are owned by the club, and should eat, drink and shit when told too.

If you knew what Gary Hart is on a week, then the poor chaps entitled to sit in the pub behind the South stand drinking beer until he's ready to go on.

I'm sure he is on a very low wage by professional footballer standards, but surely that's still more than enough by 'average man' standards?

Anyway, that's besides the point, as I agree with the majority of posts. Surely a Saturday night is the one time a week when a footballer can go out and do what he wants. Even if he drinks 20 pints it's not a problem because it'll have worn off by Monday morning.

I stand corrected. Gary told him that before he got his new contract under Slade.

Now I don't know what his new contract is, but I am guessing it's similar...
