Top man, great player, true Albion legend, decent pundit.

What he said

Wasn't his playing career shortened thru a bad leg injury? I remember a mate of mine who was a Spurs fan saying that they called him "Shakey Stevens" when he was playing for them.:clap2:

Anyone who has scored for the Albion at Wem-ber-ly is alright in my book.

I think it was Vinnie Jones who finished him. Went through him on the touchline when it was totally unnecessary. Now thats a player I disliked and I`m serious there.

Only joking boys ... a great bloke and player but he does dye his hair surely.

Did you maybe need a unicycle to help you to backpeddle more quickly? Faced with a the choice of whether he's a prick or you...hmm, tricky one...

Great, great player Gary Stevens, and great bloke too - never forgotten us (unlike, say, that real twat Lawrenson) and always supported us when we've needed it.

What is it national slag a legend day, I remember getting Lawros autograph when I was a kid and he was a bloody nice bloke spent ten minutes talking about the club. Has he ever slagged the club off?

i thought what he said was the truth, players these days are more worried about what they look like

Name 3 players that are so concerned with how their hair looks that it negatively affects their play.

What rubbish.

Yes Robson was the Ipswich manager, but Grease came to Brighton because of the friendship of Ken Craggs (Muller's assistant) and Gary's father. They played together for Hillingdon. Robson was dithering, and wouldn't give an answer as to whether Gary was to be given a pro contract at Ipswich. His dad contacted Craggsy and he brought him to the Albion.

Gary's dad, was of course, a scout for Ipswich at the time....

He was always carried by Stevie Foster away from the Goldstone not that you would have remembered either.

One of the worst players to have played for England along with Andy Sinton and Carlton Palmer.

man of the match(according to the BBC) in both games at wembley(last i heard wembley was about 60 miles away from the goldstone),in one of which foster didn't play and the other we lost 4-0 when he did, where foster's weakness on the floor was exploited to the full.

LOL- you are having a field day my friend! Stevens never disgraced in an England shirt, and was exceptional during the Mexico 86 WC...

Speaks a lot of sense to me and I like listening to his input on things on the radio.

He's full of self contraditions and non-commital statements on Talksport - always getting the mickey taken out of him by Danter - :D

That said, he always has a good word for us, and my own and Dad's good memory of him, is Fozzie and him presenting us U12's of Bevendean Barcelona with our medals, absolutley plastered, and being bloody good fun.

Your honour, i say to the house, that The OP is a knob.. Case Closed.
