Oh dear. Typing in 'paedo' and Gavin Groovebox's real name, it is the first hit. Perhaps the Mods might think about deleting the offending posts or the thread.

If you type in 'Coventrygull' and paedo you come to the same thread.

What is going on with this site at the moment? I thought I'd got banned cos I couldn't post a few minutes ago & all the envelopes were closed. I thought this thread had caused a shitstorm or something & I was in trouble for an earlier post.

To be fair though, who is EVER going to search for that?

Prospective or current employers? parents of any children who go to the same school as USs kids (if he has any). You will be suprised at how many employers use the net to check what employees get up to out of work

To be fair US was banned for a "joke" about the new manager, admittedly I didn't see this but still it was a joke. I got calls to be banned from people for starting a thread which was called "Announcement....." then simply put "mind the gap" expecting some silly responses such as " Cleaner to aisle 4 to clean a spillage" You get the picture, childish & purile yes but why the calls for & bannings over petty jokes & threads removed or locked yet this one still going with it's content which is very offensive to US & not a call for a ban.

There are some odd occurances & people on this site. It's sad ( Not in a weepy way )

US You're a good fella for all your efforts with REMF & I like the Film 2009 thread particularly so don't let this shit bother you. People are too pedantic on here. They wouldn't expect to behave that way in public & get away with it.

My real name is Gareth Glover as many people know.

In which case that joke made earlier was bang out of order. To be precise:

Serious question - does anyone think Gary Glitter would have had to give his permission for him to have been depicted in that programme? He's enough of an oddball to have agreed to it, thinking it might engender public sympathy, but could they have gone ahead without his consent?

Why? Why do it? US might be one of the most pessimistic sods who hadn't been toa game and yet still seemed to know exactly where we went wrong, on this forum, but as i was reminded at an earlier date, he is still an albion fan, and i don't think that anyone deserves to make a judgement like that... Imo.

Anyway, back to the topic in hand, they were using Gary Glitter's music in the show, which was a bit odd. The whole thing was just....weird. How would you feel if you were sitting in some isolated midlands mansion watching a 'drama-docu' about yourself being hung? No matter what you think of GG, it's not right, moreso when his crimes wouldn't carry the death penalty anyway.

At the risk of being boring, can we get back to the programme. I thought it was an interesting idea, very well acted by the bloke who played Glitter.

But it would never happen. Capital punishment will not be brought back and if it was the EU simply wouldn't back down and accept it.

Enjoyed is maybe not the right word but it was definitely worth watching but what spoiled it for me were some obvious innacuracies.

Glitter in an orange jump suit - he was in prison in UK, not the States.

Heresay evidence being given in Court.

Glitter sitting while the verdict was read out.

Call me picky, but it's little things like this that spoil a programme for me. Why can't the producers get these things right, it's not difficult.

But definitely worth watching and thought provoking.

Exactly. The bloke who played GG (Glitter not Glover) gave a darn fine performance though.

Totally agree US - it's bang out of order to publish anybody's name on here and even more disgusting to do it in this context
