Syco probably gets commission from all the extra newspapers that people buy to read about all the weirdo's that get put through!

There isn't a lot of quality this year!

. Barlow will win and Frankie Cocozza is the one to be backing in this competition now.

Really? He's gonna get loads of votes for being cute and young and current, shame he can't sing which should lead to an early exit but won't. Certainly not gonna win it, the girls are all considerably better singers. Louis has no chance, the groups don't have much chance and rest of Barlow's boys aren't all that..imo

Roland made an absolute HOWLER by kicking Jade Richards out. Purely on looks, can't be any other reason as vocally she was the best singer in the competition. I hate Tulissa, talentless bimbo from a really shit British band , she looks evil, the manipulation of the boy band was just wrong. Barlow will win and Frankie Cocozza is the one to be backing in this competition now.

Agree with the furore surrounding Jade's exclusion, definitely one of the better singers in the show. I like Tulisa I think she might actually b able to make something out of a very weak category. Whilst Frankie will be the favourite at the moment I think his charm will wear thin if can't actually learn to sing during the show. My early tip is Amelia Lily.

Looking forward to the show, it's a great trashy soap opera. It's not a singing competition and shouldn't be judged as such, it's an entertainment show.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I like a Saturday night of TV at the minute. I can watch Russell Grant jiving enthusiastically with an astrological prediction of himself lasting longer than Edwina Curry pretty much followed by X-Factor and all of its mistake-ridden decision-making and repetitive tearfulness. That comes to an end and i can switch off nSC then for the incredible The Story of Film: An Odyssey on More4. Anyone who has any interest in cinema or the sometimes brilliance of filmmakers shouldn't miss a single episode of it. That ends and i put nsc back on whilst Match of the Day's second match begins.
The gaps in the programmes probably give me enough time to share just 32 words with the girlfriend and make a fairly basic dinner. Lovely.

It won't be long before they are selecting foetus's for X Factor. I can imagine this little disembodied voice....." Louis, I was born, Er, will be born to do this.... this is what I was bred for and if I don't make it through my life is over. I might as well end up on a petrie dish and be used for stem cell research..."

How they dumped jade is unbelievable. I do think that some decisions are made AFTER background checks are done in order to stop any skeletons climbing out of cupboards at a later date.
Also this twist rubbish will probably enable the viewers to vote (With money) to bring her back in.
So predictable this programme.

jade was decent enough but probably wasn't going to win

a bit one dimensional and would've struggled when a "theme" came up that wasn't suited to her

is it me, or do all groups that go on there these days sound exactly the same? "harmonise harmonise harmonise low quality rap harmonise harmonise harmonise belt out chorus harmonise"

Frankie can sing - and he's from Brighton!

Haha no he can't. Has got the 'cheeky chappie' routine off but bar that he is a whole lot of nothingness. Teenage girls will vote for him but is that enough to win especially if their vote is split with one of the boy bands. First out will either be the two girls in the group category or that annoying bint in the overs

This is an overhyped show that even the winners dont last for very long. I can only remember hearing Leona Lewis of recent winners and ????Burke cant even remember her full name.

Is that Frank Cocozza related to the old family of Cocozza that lived in Worthing and played for Wigmore now Worthing Utd in the 60s.

What is the US betting advice then ? Out of the fancied ones I prefer Amelia Lily than Janet Devlin, can't see any of the boys going far, maybe that group who got put together will be a runner, read one of the Essex girls is pregnant so maybe garner the sympathy vote ?

leona lewis, alexandra burke, olly murs, diana vickers, jls, jedward, shayne ward, stacey solomon have all had reasonable levels of success although most of them didn't win it....

as for the winners of the show you're pretty much right, most of them had nothing that could be described as the "x factor" whatsoever

1. Steve Brookstein- basically done absolutely f*** all and seems to be constantly on an anti x-factor tirade

2. Shayne Ward- medium levels of success

3. Leona Lewis- obvious success

4. Leon Jackson- who?!

4. Alexandra Burke- probably second to lewis in terms of success

5. Joe McElderry- meh

6. Matt Cardle- bit early to say

I think Elton John had it right when he said about the winners not being prepared for a career in music. Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis are great singers, but they're just sitting round waiting for someone else to write and produce songs for them.
