Nobody who is any good will be a Brighton for long. Even the best football forum posters are all on the top 6 club forums and The Leeds one (although Leeds arguably are top 6 anyway). I'm actually thinking of leaving, myself.

Brilliant :lolol:

I read that, he is (as we stand) right (as we will) be battling against relegation... we’ve signed a walking sick-note and a defender who failed to start last night. What has changed ? Others have tangibly sought to actually strengthen, we really haven’t. I applaud moving Alzate centrally but we’re operating with a smaller squad with ‘nothing on the horizon...’ if Lamptey performs like this when he plays, he will be gone by Jan - he’s too good for us (sadly) right now.

Garth, love him or hate him, always cretics our players when they standout and I applaud him for it - it’s more than most pundits do.

Not sure you can state that with any certainty

No different to the Sky commentators last night when talking about White and how 'a big move is coming for him' and 'a move to Leeds would have been a big move' but he 'won't be around for long'

That had me shouting expletives at the TV. As if a move to a newly promoted team would be a dream move. Nonsense

Irritating, but I thought he actually said about White moving on that he’d go “to a bigger club than Leeds”

Two out of two for Tariq Lamptey...

Tariq Lamptey: His performance against Chelsea in midweek was impressive but against Newcastle United on Sunday he was even better. Lamptey won Brighton's penalty and was later involved in the move that put the game beyond the visitors.

Lamptey was only on the pitch for 57 minutes, having run Allan Saint-Maximin ragged. When Lamptey was eventually substituted with an injury, the match had been won by the Seagulls - and that was largely down to Lamptey's contribution. This kid can play.

Did you know? Lamptey made more interceptions against Newcastle than any other Brighton player (four).

As good as he is, I feel might struggle as the right CB in a back 3 Garth!

He's not likely to get much cover from James Rodriguez either :lolol:

Wont be many suitors for Lamptey if he’s consistently good he will between £60-80m

Nah; just realistic.

It was a great performance last week at Newcastle... let’s just say that last bit again: at Newcastle. Let’s see what happens this weekend for starters, before declaring our top 10 credentials. I would love it if we got a result, any positive result, but it’s going to be very, very tough.

As for Lamptey commanding £80 million... unlikely - the harsh Covid reality Is about to strike.

He picked Fernandes in his team of the week. Okay he was involved in their goals, but he was also responsible for both of ours, fouling TL for the penalty and leaving Solly unmarked at the far post. By his standards this was not a good game at all. For some reason Crooks has also attempted an embarrassingly poor Simon Cowell impression on both Graham Potter's accurate passing comment that added time was wrong and on Trossard's bad luck in hitting the woodwork. Very odd and a peculiarly aggressive response totally out of context with the situation. Its like he's trying to be a shock jock, whilst working on hospital radio. What an odd man.
