3 pages of annoyed Town fans over Lewis Dunk selection.

I was interested to read someone on DATM complaining that Dunk gets picked every week despite Schindler being ahead of him on most stats. Taking a brief look at the Premier League's defensive stats it would seem that, although Dunk is well ahead of Schindler on blocks for the season, he is behind him on clearances and headed clearances.

However Schindler isn't playing alongside the player who, not only tops those two lists and is behind only Dunk on blocks, but seems to be in a league of his own, with 36 more clearances and 57 more headed clearances than any other player in the division. Dunk is 10th and 12th in these lists, which isn't bad considering he only gets to clear anything that big Shane hasn't already sent packing.

Dale Stephens is also fifth on tackles, with Davy Propper also making the top twenty.

Agreed. And simple fact is we've conceded 38 this season and Huddersfield have conceded 50. Not sure how that can be translated to Schindler outperforming Dunk. In the key stat that matters, Duffy and Dunk are well ahead of them

Picked again for his heroics at Palace, but yet another piss-poor piece of analysis from the boggle-eyed fool :

Lewis Dunk: Brighton should have been awarded a penalty for Scott Dann's assault on Lewis Dunk in the box.

Likewise, Crystal Palace were quite entitled to ask why Anthony Knockaert was still on the pitch after a shocking tackle on Luka Milivojevic.

Meanwhile, both managers refused to get involved in such tawdry matters and all credit to them. Lewis Dunk was immense in a defensively brilliant performance from Brighton.
