The players and the draw got us there. He's rubbish. Imagine if he were chosen to be our manager. Apart from never picking Dunk, Webster and March, he'd be a disaster. He's not got a good track record.
His track record is a semi, a final and quarter final. We have not done that well EVER ! Shit manager though 🙄

Is there a way of tracking which games Southgate bothers watching?

Was he at Palace, Brentford or Brighton on Saturday?

Here's one up and coming player Waistcoat man may have pushed towards USA or Nigeria. He cocked up on not taking Ivan Toney to the World Cup too. Talent spotting is not a Southgate strength and nor is blooding young players.

Wasn't he on loan alongside our very own Aaron Connolly last season? AFAIK, Middlesbrough fans didn't think much of either of them (not that I'm in any way suggesting Middlesbrough fans know any more about football that Waistcoat Man!)

He goes to a lot of Midlands games because that’s where he is based. Fair enough. I am sure he can study as many matches as he needs to. They’re all available. It’s hardly like the old days is it.

Well it's hardly likely he was at the Amex, he doesn't rate any of our players as we know, and Wolves have barely got an Englishman in their ranks.
We don’t have too many Englishmen ourselves…and we already know that Dunk, Solly and Welbs will never make the squad. Jason Steele, maybe? No…

I don't see why not. He picked 35 year old Fraser Forster for his last squad. Steele's three years younger, has kept more clean sheets than Forster having played less EPL games this season and conceded less goals per game. He even has the age group experience that Southgate's so in love with, having played for the U17, U19 & U21s a decade ago.

He frequently comes to watch Dunk - he even has this picture of Lewis in his office
