Gerrard can play DM well but we need him linking with Rooney and Lamps, I do think Huddlestone is a good player but he's a bit too inexperienced. If we were to play any of the top 6 sides in the world he would struggle I think. I'd want parker to have a chance in a friendly or 2, if he does well put him DM if not just go with Carrick.

Parker isn't a holding midfielder either though.

Scott Parker and Milner, both had good seasons.

Carrick has been out of form for at least a year now and Huddlestone is very average

So just to confirm he isn't definately out for the world cup - he's out for a month so in theory should be fit* for the 1st game - depends if Fabio wants to risk taking him - Same old tabloids - jumping the gun... I'll always go with the Beeb site - more accurate
