Maicon is the best ATTACKING right-back in the world. Defensively he's not so solid. I'd like to see Bale paired up against a Gary Neville in his prime.

Bale may have ran Maicon ragged over two games but Phil Neville had him in his pocket the other week against Everton. Bale is good but he is not there yet.

Nonsense. Everton double-teamed him with Neville AND Seamus Coleman. Spurs didn't win because they failed to exploit the extra man advantage they had elsewhere on the pitch. I expect Redknapp to plan accordingly for this next time around.

Bale is not even hit his peak yet but at the moment I would say Arjen Robben a better left sided winger than Bale.

Bale is good yes, but the best, questionable. Form wise at the moment, you cant argue. But he hasn't won anything yet

The likes of robben, ribery, di maria and of course messi are many times better. YES Bale is good but he's not anywhere near the quality of the top players in the world, surely? However i do think he will progress to be ONE of the top left mid's in the world. One problem, he's Welsh.

according to Fantasy football (based on minutes played/assists/goals) he is the 16th best midfielder in the Premiership.....
