Great choice and value.

I've used Burncoose for a wide variety of Phormiums I needed for a job on a garden opposite Shoreham beach a few years' ago. As you say, great choice.
As for David Austin, I went to his rose place near Albrighton to pick up a few roses for the Council one Saturday on my drive up to a game at Shrewsbury! Initially reading your post, I thought Claire Austin's father may have been Jennifer Aniston?!
Bally Robert Gardens is a new one on me.

There's quite a few interesting ferns and sedums that would lend themselves to that wall, plus interspersed with pansies it'll give an interest well into winter. Chuck some narcissi and muscari or dwarf tulips in and you could pretty much see it through the year. sempervivum, aloe aristata, echeveria and a mix of tufty grasses like festuca or carex for different leaf shape. A smaller leaved bergenia could work well. I just wish I had a free wall to try all this!

I lazily used to use Crocus/RHS for most buys, until they became ridiculously busy with all the folk pretending to work from home .... instead doing home and garden projects. Delivery wait times sometimes in the months, not days!!

(Other than Downderry in Kent for specialist Lavendula and a lovely little wildflower nursery in Oxfordshire).

So I discovered this cottage industry of amazing nurseries across the UK selling online.

White roses in the front garden are a £5 plant my son chose from woolworths . . . Just grows like it smokes crack!!! Salmon pick is fussy, frail and old, but wonderful colour, I think its 'pink peace' from my Grans, the 'tree' is intertwined with honeysuckle and is clearly happy, on the front of my workshop/man cave, facing east . . . When I first extended the garage to build the workshop in 2003 it was little more than a stick after the brickies finished. Seems to have pulled through. . 7920E40B-8C49-4F52-9F30-1595B631C68B.jpeg

Why are you keeping Bruno prisoner in your man cave?! #FreeElCapitan

P.s. excellent work with the roses! I bought my mum a shrub (no idea what it is) from Woolies when I was a nipper - 30 years on and it's going strong!

Ha, we have 2 in there, 2 flags . . . and a taz devil Brighton window sticker.

Our Woolies rose must be 10-12 years old now, just goes bonkers every year. There are some other big old ones in the front as well, dark red. There were here when we moved it and we managed to move them accross the garden succesfully to incorporate the driveway. All I do to the one on the back of the workshop is dead head and trim it every autumn/winter

My favourite plant in our garden just about coming into flower.

Astrantia. Gorgeous plant and a proper 'doer' too.

I'd hazard a guess that your Woolies rose is at least 13 years old.

The last ones closed early January 2009. The last deliveries we had would have been Spring 2008.

Frequently described as the Scorsese/De Niro for post modern bee poppy cinematography. Stat & Chris are back.

We spent the winter story boarding our summer blockbuster, and finally went with an homage to Mission Impossible. (Or do they pay homage to us - not for me to say)

I hope you enjoy this rollercoaster ride of thrills, spills, action and explosions.

If you're an adrenaline junkie stay tuned this summer.

If not just moan about it, I don't care.

So what do I do with ex Lupin flowers?
Do they need deadheading to encourage more flowers or do they stay for reseeding, a la the poppies?

I have a lot of climbing hydrangea on our house, not sure how to trim it. 92B54807-0497-4BFA-BEB9-1620E882E33B.jpeg78B00F16-A29C-42B1-8D8B-114881D47462.jpeg
Don’t know why they’ve come out sideways ??? There’s Virginia creeper there too.

That's made my day seeing Chris in action again. I'll certainly stay tuned.
