Raspberry plant = W***er.

They arrived today
I've soaked them, planted them this afternoon and there's just one more thing to do tonight, but I can't remember quite what
Got yours yet ?
Notters, they look to be planted a bit too deeply. It could just be my eyesight, but if they are, it might delay flowering for a couple of years
You don't need to soak before planting, as I'm sure you're doing the Jack Straw WLB
Blimey mine have been in for ages and have started coming up. Didn't know you were supposed to soak them!

Strangely I thought you might say something like that. [emoji106]You should see something after three weeks. However, it has hardly rained since you sowed them and without water, they won't do anything. I can offer you a little bit of advice here - WATER LIKE BUGGERY! (until there is rain of biblical proportions).
Lawn mower update.
Bloke fixed it.
I mowed lawn twice. Lovely.
Started screeching (the mower, not me,,,).
Now broken again, rope stuck.
Online videos say first check blade can rotate. Done that and is OK.
Are you absolutely sure that the problem is definitely at the bottom end of the mower handle
Yes, it didn't look familiar to me at all, then I saw your location and put two and two together. I'm well up on plants in the UK, but the other side of the world is a completely different ball-game. The Australian plants we can get away with only grow to half the size as they do where you are, plus all the things we've never heard of or seen here which makes IDs of plants from abroad much trickier. I look forwards to you letting us know what you think it might be when you're up and running over there again.
It doesn't look like an c. australis hybrid, maybe some sort of c. fruticosa or even might be a dracaena...more pictures required
Well now I'm really confused.
15 and a half year old Jnr has been working really hard in the garden.
He's dug out the entire left side, which had laid untouched (beyond the routine Autumnal hedge trim) for about 5 years and is now a border again.
His efforts have made me somewhat proud.
For this he's been short changed and received £40!
So I said to him I'd get him an addition present.
I told him what it was.
He's immediate reaction was confusion, a little shocked, but as I reassured him I meant what I said he was positively ecstatic.
I don't think I've ever seen him so happy.
The confusing part comes from the fact when I gave him his present he became as despondent as he was happy.
I just don't understand:-

Is he a hip hop fan.
Perhaps he initially got excited when he realised he was getting a hoe. A dutch one at that!
We definitely had our wires crossed.

If I can suggest a decent gardening tool, this would be it. Probably the best and most used bit of gardening equipment ive ever had the pleasure of using
