Oh dear

Read up on the situation up there before knee jerk reactions like that.

There is a consortium sniffing as well which includes the ex chief executive who sold the players during the transfer window (he resigned soon afterwards...)

I'd imagine he is quite rightly seeing how things pan out before deciding to what to do.

Taking a punt, I'd say the rumours came out of Stockport today because he is in two minds whether to work with them or not.

However complicated our situation is as the moment, it's far more complicated up there.

tbh i think he is doing this just 2 give Stockport a kick up the arse becasue he is a good manager but does not have a big budget at stockport. Why else??? And I dont think he is just randomly going to change his mind after he's allready said he wants to stay at Stockport

At least he's achieved something in his life though, unlike a bitter and twisted jock who spends all his time spouting bile and venom.

Gannon shits bigger than the likes of you.

A tad harsh dont you think????

I dont agree with him though. I love to see him down here.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Oh dear, and the thread goes downhill from here on in.

I suspect there are many people out there who didnt really know about Gannon and are wondering what all the fuss is about, it is essentially just another NSC style overreaction, on Monday Gannon is unheard of, by Thursday he is the best up and coming manager.

A certain degree of REALITY should be cast over events.

The way I read it is he's a small town man with a wife and kids who know nowt but Stockport. They won't be moving down here anytime soon

Born in London, grew up in Ireland as child.

383 appearances for Stockport and 53 goals.

A trained accountant and one of the few lower league holders of a pro UEFA licence.

Happily settled family and under very difficult circumstances holding down one of the only 92 jobs of it type in the country very well.

Small town man ? Sounds like a man on the up to me.

If there is any over reaction on here, it's coming from you - and as for criticising his family, well I'll leave for the others on here to take a judgement on that.

Yeah I agree. I didn't imply he was on his way, far from it.

What exactly is harsh about it?

Was it necessary to have a character assassination on a bloke who has never done any harm to THPP, who took County from the bottom of League 2 and facing relegation to the Conference to the top half of league 1?

Would THPP say the same about Steve Gritt?

Not related by any chance are you? The bloke will patently NOT be uprooting from Stockport.

Just seems to me the biggest hype of a Not All That since the Tom Brighton thing

I was simply reaction to your rather odd and bitter attack on a man's family.

Well if Glenn Murray is injured and can't be on the receiving end, he has to find someone else.

I dont think there was any bitterness involved, I was as confused as everyone else when I heard at 15:30 that the move might be back on again, its only natural we are asking ouselves why?

Playing Devils Advocate for a minute here, wouldnt it actually be slightly unfair on us lot if he was playing us off against Stockport in order for his own situation to be clearer?

Andy Hessenthaler (who won't come)

Danny Cullip (who won't be asked)

None of the drab long-ball merchants.

Somebody who will remove the home-grown boys from the comfort zone they currently inhabit. A non-psychotic Roy Keane type perhaps?

Dunno, as DK has always been happy to tell anybody who will listen, he always gets a list of household name applicants anytime he advertises the job. The shortlist has been curiously DREARY this time around to be sure, probably on account of cheapness, but will no doubt end up as either Pardew or Curbishley.

Having a pop at someone's family sounds a little bitter to me.

All I'm trying to say that is unfortunately we were trying to attract a manager at a club in worse position internally than our is at the moment.

Yeah you are probably right, but then again we went running after him.

However he wants to use that situation is entirely down to him, the ball is very much in his court.

Andy Hessenthaler (who won't come)

.

a man who wasn't good enough for Gillingham, are you sure about that one? Just because he shouts a lot don't mean he is a good player

Seems to me we're short of a manager and a backroom staff who are in any way capable of motivating the players. Reckon a shouty manager might just get results. Or should we just stick to cuddles?
