Well I'm speculating mainly that Gannon is being sounded out by Knight on his interest in the job should we get relegated. Equally I guess he might be sounding him out if we stay up. No one is suggesting there is anything corrupt at least I'm not. I don't think there is a poster on here that would spot Gannon & Knight in a cafe in Hove given what happened a few weeks ago and not post it on here in case it was a bit risky and someone might allege corruption. People can allege all they like, it means nothing without any evidence.

If true, a serious error of judgement by Knight IMHO

1. Neither Knight or Gannon would fix a match, they would not be sitting in a coffee shop doing it, Gannon would still have to convince his players somehow and neither are that dodgy.

2. Could be talking taking over as manager but again why would Dick risk upsetting Slade, the players and fans by being seen doing that before the biggest game of the season?

3. The answer is most likely THUS; Gannon and Knight have made no secret of there admiration for each other, they probably meet to discuss Dicker and maybe other players and have a general footie chat.

May I also add that should the 2nd option be true Knight would take heap load more shit and divide the fans again. I love Slade...but.....I have funny feeling Gannon could begin next season down here. While I would be sorry to see Slade go I would not mind Gannon coming in!

Not sure if it will be next season but I definitely think Gannon will be manager of this football club one day...

Agree with your reasoning. But point 1 could be used against the club if Stockport for some reason fold completely on Saturday and we run out easy winners. Could imagine Carlisle, say, having something to say about it if we stay up and they go down. And point 2 can only serve to fuel suspicion that DK is going to get rid of the committed and massively popular Slade in favour of someone who's already turned down the job and who has already said that his family would be none too keen to settle down here.

As I say, if such a meeting did take place it would represent a massive error of judgement of Knight. IMHO, like.

Stockport will turn up with a very young team, average age about 19, they did against Crewe and although they scored, they were leaking at the back!

Can't wait for Saturday!

Might be discussing to purchase Dicker too.

Think this is the most likely. They may be trying to tie up a permanent deal before Saturday (so it doesn't look like they are doing us any favours - as he was always going to be our player permanently...)

Crazy as this may seem, but has Russell Slade come out and stated he would want the Albion managers job next season?

What if he DIDN'T want it and had another job (perhaps Oldham) already lined up?

Perhaps also, Slade took the job on the understanding that Gannon would replace him at the end of the season?

What if Gannon & Slade were going to do the job together next season and one was a replacement for White/Booker?

The point is, none of us know what's going to happen and none of us can confirm that the original post on this thread is true or false.

Lets just concentrate on staying in League 1, which is still not guaranteed, rather than speculating who's going to be our manager next season!

So in other words you think you've seen something and put 2 + 2 together and come up with 5 and made the rest up with speculation and assumptions?

Have we met before? :lolol:

I do believe we may have sparred before on here my learned friend  The key word here is speculation, adding 2+2 and getting 5 is precisely what speculation is and I haven't made anything up. I'm just throwing some ideas at the board and trying to determine why Dick & Jim were necking skinny Lattes and laughing and shaking hands together.

OK I made that last bit up!
