I roasted a bit of gammon last night, we had it with mashed potato, parsley sauce, tenderstem broccoli, green beans and peas. It was very nice.

i‘d probably have gammon steak with a fried egg rather than pineapple.

On a related note, I once had gammon, egg and chips in a chain pub in Bristol when I was uni. If I remember rightly, it was part of a 2 meals for a fiver promo and to top it off you were allowed unlimited fried eggs. I think I went for 5 after deciding any more could cause me to Cool Hand Luke.

It has to be egg on gammon. Pineapple should be banned from gammon and pizza. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a bit of pineapple but only with……another bit of pineapple ( maybe a dollop of ice cream).

I love roast gammon, for veg either cheesy leaks or cauliflour cheese as its a great cheese/bacon pairing. Then tatties, peas and a light gravy, made with veg stock cube.
