Just back from my holidays, missed episode 10.

Sky Atlantic on demand, if you have it.

If not, download "Zenmate" from the Google chrome store (free, of course), and then click on this link - http://bit.ly/1lxKszy

Go to the very bottom and click on a link, make sure the loading time says fast below the link.

Hope this helps. :)

Also, for a better experience with any ads, download Ad block plus from the chrome store as well.

Season 5 trailer - having read well skim read the book I don't think it will be as good as previous seasons.

You must have skimmed it then. There's all sorts for TV extravaganza. The problem for many viewers is having the staying power through so many series with no major unravellings. We're still some way from that... its just going to get more and more complex.

My concern is not with the tv but with the books themselves. I cant help but be suspicious that George is having trouble tying the whole thing up... hence the bigger and bigger time gaps. despite Brandon Sanderson doing a good job I hope we don't have another Robert Jordan scenario.

I heard that the TV show is no longer going to be as true to the book, so there will be more surprises even for the readers.

Given that the trailer shows Jaime Lannister visiting Dorne, I'd say that's very accurate.

Having not watched this but heard good things about it, my wife settled down to watch an episode not so long ago. After 20 minutes, she declared that George R R Martin is clearly some sort of perv with erectile difficulties and turned over to watch something else. Suffice to say she has not watched it again.

Is this a fair assessment?

Not when your wife is menopausal it isn't. Although she did laugh when someone was taking a lady from behind when someone interrupted them and the lady being taken jumped up suddenly. Her reaction was "well she just snapped his dick off" - she found that very amusing as many menopausal women would, I guess.

If it helps at all, the lady being taken and the man doing the taking are brother and sister (Cersei and Jaime Lannister).

GOT season 5 starts on HBO on Sunday - so I guess it should be on Sky soon.

Proper Sunday night viewing. Looking forward to it - should be a corker

Re-watching season 4 this weekend to get ready for Sunday night.

Interested to see where they go with it, as they've said it'll be diverting from the plot of the books a fair amount...

I have not watched this but due to all the hype I though I might look up some of the highlights on YouTube well, it's a bit grim isn't it ? lots of violent death, mostly in the gloom of candlelight. Not for me I think.

It's got some pretty gruesome violence and almost pornographic sex scenes, what's there not to like? I did make the mistake of watching it on the train when I was commuting to London, I did get some disapproving looks from the person next to me if they happened to look over when someone was getting their kit off.

Looking forward to this series, I've just subscribed to Now TV purely so I can watch it.
