I did a £10 combination trifecta on the tote (cost £60) and my old mans horse at a race at Wolverhampton, had I done the same bet at the bookies (tricast) I’d have won £18,514.20 instead of the eighty quid I ended up with. That was a bit of a sore one.

Here‘s the race card

:lolol:
The tote is actual dog shite, I’d 100% avoid

A bet missed. Last January when the PL team's were announced at the Amex, I predicted to those with me a 3-0 win over Liverpool. I went onto the Betfair and SkyBet apps and both were blocked .... that's something about the Amex .... do the PL or Albion block betting websites on a matchday? I bet rarely and a bit higher than some, I would've had a £50 or £75 stake on that. Frustrated at the time.
I have never ONCE been able to log in to my 365 account during a game to check out any cash out options. I have tried the stadium wifi and 4g. Just get no reception

About 10 minutes ago I had £1 EW on a horse called Live in the dream @40s with bet365 20 seconds before the off,it won so I'm alright jack but the horses sp was 28-1,now call me suspicious but that's a genuine 12 point shift in 20 seconds or it's fundamentally wrong and the big bookies literally adjust the odds to suit,it would have taken some really big bets to shift the price down that much the thieving gits, add to that the bookies had it off because the heavily backed favourite got beat, has to be crooked.
40s in to 28s is about a 1% shift in the betting market, it would take shirt buttons to “shift the price down that much” 🤣

I bet a lot on us to win the Championship the season we went up. With three games to go and effectively only needing one more result I had mentally spent it. Thanks David Stockdale.

Brighton factually.....
I was in the casino one afternoon playing roulette six numbers kept doing me during the session to the point of annoying. I was only playing £1 chips so not really a big deal. Anyways after losing a few quid I’m walking up the road and pass a newsagents and I’m thinking I should put all those numbers that have killed me all afternoon on the lottery. There were no pens at the lottery stand and a bit of a queue at the till so I left it and walked out thinking probably won’t win anyway.
All six numbers came in that evening.
That reminds of two mates in Liverpool who did the same numbers religiously every week for about 4 years, anyway the numbers roll in eventually and one of the mates is in the pub celebrating buying drinks for everyone and in walks his mate who has been tasked with doing the numbers every week.
Yep you guessed it, he had been pocketing his mates whole pound every week, tragically the bloke who was celebrating later took his own life, because he thought that was it, his ticket to freedom.

Although it was a hard one to take you can’t miss what you didn’t have not worth killing yourself over that’s a sad story.

I loaned a few hundred quid to a “friend” who turned out to be a gambler and a liar. Closest I have ever come to gambling. Never have, never will.

I had a 5p ew lucky 31 donkeys years ago and I had 3 winners 14/1 and two at 33/1, it was Tony Blooms horse High Standing that let me down at 25/1 coming second costing me about 20k.

He is forgiven though.

In my personal experience, gambling in it’s entirety is a bad luck story, I have a real issue with the whole gambling industry to be honest, betting companies are forever bleating on about responsible gambling but I’ve seen with my own eyes they actively encourage problem gambling.

Agreed. I have never had an issue with gambling on the whole, people can do what they like with their money. I do have a problem with what the betting industry has become though. The complete saturation of adverts which just normalises gambling as if it should be part of everyone's daily routine. The terrible adverts which seem to be either be written by 10 year-olds or that character down the pub who thinks he's hilarious. Followed by the token "be gamble aware" after thought at the end.

I've really noticed it creep into every day conversation, including on NSC. People are always going on about betting odds on everything from football scores to political resignations. Why does everything have to have odds?

Sadly, it's started creeping into Canada since they legalised online betting a couple of years ago. I'm watching the Chelsea vs Luton match and betting company pops up at the bottom of the screen every 10 minutes or so.

It didn't cost you 20k though, did it? it cost you 5p.
