McCammon still wasn't the answer even if he hadn't fallen out with McGhee. What we need is a link up man, he was never that.

Tend to agree that maybe although he has done ok he isn't the long term solution to our problem.

His chronic injury coupled with him looking for decent wages is reason enough, he is the type of player we are looking for maybe in league 1 McCammon could do that job

I think we may have to make do with Gatting, Robinson, CKR and El Turi. Much as I am a McGhee in fan, one or more of our forwards needs to actually prove they can do the job they are paid for. They SHOULD be good enough for League 1 and MM has to carry the can if they are not, he signed two of them and his two previous McCammon and Molango have already failed. Big season for MM next season, it is now his team, not an inherited one. Needs to do well.

A GNW is not going to sign for us, anyone that good is going to a club with more money and a ground.

I can only imagine what the question must have been.......

Who of our strikers will have the best goalscoring ratio in Lge 1?

McPhee be also be worth a try. He has been doing ok for Swindon according to the Argus.

Real shame if he goes. I noticed on Saturday GNW was talking to CKR all the time, guiding and encouraging him, passing on his experience. Thats exactly the kind of player Kaz needs up there with him. We desperately need an experienced striker for next season. Wonder if Shipperly could be persuaded ? Surely his Premiership days are behind him.

Forget McPhee... somone who tries and will give his all but never scores any goals. He'll be released.

Still not scoring though is he, i was hoping he would go and score goals and prove he was up to it, unfortunatly despite how well he has played strikers are judged on goals and i doubt McPhee has done enough to secure another contract.

We have too many unproven strikers under contract ( Robinson, Gatting, CKR, El Turi) ..... i doubt we can afford to have another promising but unproven striker on our books

I agree about McPhee. I'd keep him if we can't bring anyone in, we need some sort of target man in there.

I think Robinson would score most goals given the oppurtunity.

Yea, but what is the question?

For me not "who would do a job for us at Centre Forward" but more "who could do a job for me ferrying my shopping around at Tescos"; I'm afraid!

Do we realy need him though? We've been relegated- if CKR, Gatting and Robinson can't score goals at level 3 what exactly is the point of them being professional footballers?! Not to mention El Turi.

You need a proven goalscorer no matter what league you are in. The goal size doesn't change as you move down leagues does it, if you can't score, you just cant score.
