If the fight needed any added spice I understand AJ will be there ringside!

But if by some chance Usyk were to win, what does he say if AJ comes into the ring, "I've done you twice, what's the point in a hat trick?"

And if, as I believe, Fury wins any AJ fight won't be till next year unless they can circumnavigate the rematch clause, although if Fury were to destroy Usyk Sat night you won't get AJ going anywhere near him. ;)

Tricky one. Saudi money and Turk Alash have put on some specatacular cards. Without the Saudi money alot of these fights don't get made. Personally I think they've been great for boxing. Some great match ups all over the place now.

You cant really hate Saudi but like the match up. Saudi have made this happen !!
Bollox

The fights would still happen with smaller purses that is all, Saudi are willing to pay stupid money for various reasons.
The fighters follow the money, like F1, like shitty burnt out footballers, like that shitty so called sport where you hit a hard ping pong ball with a stupid stick and try and get it in a hole.

AJ is there for two reasons and neither of those are his next fight.
1: it will be free all expenses trip.
2: to keep his name in relevant as a potential future fight somewhere in Oldham

Yer gotta agree. Would 100% would have gone to this if it was in Vegas, imagine the hype and fun and clubs , bars etc. would be incredible. Saudi is so sh1t , no atmosphere, no booze, no decent parties. Rubbish.
I dont know...the idea of dressing up in a smock and driving around a desert in lambo has it's merits.

AJ Mk 2 smashed a novice boxer in his second fight ( A the novices first fight was bordering on Panto)

In all seriousness if Fury were to lose would there be any appetite for a third AJ vs Usyk?

There was appetite for all the Fury Wilder fights. Personally, I'd like to see the seemingly new improved AJ against Usyk. Priority is AJ v Fury though….regardless of the Usyk outcomes.

The Saudis are bringing us the best fights. I don’t like it happening over there but in this day and age they have the power, it’s swings and roundabouts. I hate them involved in football as they can buy the best players and that makes sure they are successful most of the time BUT you can’t get involved like that in boxing.

The really big fights haven't been happening though have they?! Theres a reason that the last unified heavyweight championship fight was Lennox Lewis vs Evander Holyfield in 1999!

Saudi money in sport is largely wank. Golf is ruined. Newcastle. The 1 man and his dog watching Jordan Henderson before he scarpered in their shit football league. The Saudi Grand Prix. The 2034 World Cup.

Boxing, however, has at least put matches on. It's forced fights where they otherwise would have dodged each other. I doubt Fury Usyk happens without Saudi money. It's forced promoters hands. For now at least, it's the one sport where I sort of welcome the cash. I doubt it will last

I'd argue not the third HT, that came about because of a lawsuit I recall?

I'm still not convinced we will ever see Fury and AJ in a ring together.

Why is it nonsense ? If you don’t like boxing you’re on the wrong thread.
I used to enjoy boxing, now it’s all about contracts and on par with WWE story lines for a build up.
They don’t really want to fight each other the pay check from Arab land has wetted the appetite. This fight would never happen in Manchester or Wembley.

One fight on the undercard has caught my eye. Young British heavyweight prospect.
Looks DECENT and future world champion in the making..

Moses Itauma vs Ilja Mezencev

Fair point regarding the third. I’d forgotten that.

I reckon Saudi money could make Fury AJ.

How has this passed me by? I didn't know that that no agreement was reached for UK radio commentary :(

Is it not on Talk Sport or 5Live then?

Interesting stat came up yesterday from Colin Hart, it’s the first time since 8th March 1971, Frazier vs Ali at Madison Square Garden, that two undefeated heavyweights have fought for the undisputed titles.

Just watching the predictions on You Tube, HBO’s Jim Lamptey speculating that Fury would have beaten Ali, Marciano, Lewis and Dempsey. 🤷‍♂️

Hopefully Fury takes the same approach as in Wilder 2 fight and we get a dust up.
Although the most likely outcome is points, after a cagey and close 36 minutes. Then it comes down to the style the judges prefer.
