well he IS in the youth team literally just played for them. Alzate and Connolly have done fantastic but it is a big jump.. Wouldn't surprise me if he got loaned out.

We don't have any natural left wing back. Although, March seems to have claimed the position he could do with some competition.

FYI - the "youth team" is the U-18 side, essentially made up of scholars (U-17s and U-18s).

What you are calling "the youth team" is the development squad/U-23s/U-21s (call it what you will), but is a step up and NOT the same thing.

Zeqiri to sing tomorrow.

Gyökeres to sing for Swansea on Thursday.

Maybe Bernardo to leave by transfer deadine.

Pröpper to Ajax talk doesn't go away...

Maybe 1 more in before we move into the PL-FL transfers window and reassess from there.

Burn, obviously. You may not think so, but Potter evidently does, having played him there for a large part of last season.

Potter played Burn as LB for a large part of last season, but not as LWB (and, note, when Burn came on against Newcastle, we changed from playing WBs to a back four, with Burn at LB). The two positions require a different skill set. I think the reason that Potter doesn't play Burn as a LWB is that he has neither the pace nor the engine to get up and down a side of the pitch for 90 minutes. March and Lamptey most certainly do -- alongside having several other qualities.

Zeqiri + Edouard or Origi. Job (finally) done.

The latest name I’ve seen mentioned is Reiss Nelson on a season long loan. Competition with Palace, Southampton and Burnley.

5 days and 2 hours left, after which we can only sign players from the football league.

Zeqiri, a loan and maybe a football league journeyman could well be our lot for incomings.

Can genuinely see Zeqiri being the only incoming unless we go for a loan move such as Sessengon, James or Nelson all seem very unlikely to be fair. What happened to the Wilmar Barrios like he would've been perfect replacement for Stephens.

Seems like we started shopping at Waitrose at the beginning of the window and now we are hanging out at the back of pound land on a Saturday evening to see what scraps are being thrown out. Gone from very exciting to really disheartening.

Sessegnon looks to be going to Celtic.

Really? Perhaps you should be a Burnley fan if you want to be disheartened.

Most exciting squad we've ever had, at least since the early 80s. Even better that we've got there without forking out £30 or £40M like many others have. Don't see why you should think we're hanging about for scraps from Poundland when we don't want or need them.

Because some people are never happy unless they’re moaning - even when, and not just since the 80’s, it’s the best team I’ve seen in my 46 years of following the Albion playing some unbelievable football

Granted it’s good football unfortunately we can’t finish for shite and need a player who can, which will cost.

12 goals in 5 matches in all competitions so far this season. Average of 2 goals per match in the PL. Average of 1.5 goals per game against top 6 opposition.

Sometimes I just despair where our next goal is coming from ........................................

And conceding 6 goals. We need some experience

Which is basically my point (re a striker) not long ago we were in for Nunez 20-23 mill, now we are trying to sign a chap from the Swedish 2nd division.... Not necessarily moaning, just making a statement re not getting striker in ( as we generally agree we need to move the team on)

The best strikers we’ve ever had in my lifetime were from non league Burton Albion and Bristol Rovers
Both went on to play for England

It’s not where the striker comes from it’s where he takes us!
