Origi over Solanke every day of the week. However I can see the argument that Solanke would perhaps suit the plan b narrative more. But Origi is levels above.

Rumours are that Callum Hudson-Odoi may be pushing for a loan move away from Stamford Bridge.

If true, having seen how his mate Lamptey has blossomed under Potter's direction, you couldnt blame him for wanting a piece of that action.

I’m not convinced that the Albion are in the market for improving other club’s players, on high wages with no return at the end of the season, these days.

I wonder if the lack of an incoming striker is also our reluctance to agree to buy back options on big club youngsters too.

Short term fixes are a thing of the past here now. Just a guess

Surely a short term fix is better than no fix though !

The fact that he is no longer seen by Potter as a regular started and his desire to play regularly is almost certainly the reason for the move. Just like Duffy and possibly Mooy

The club is doing right by the players and themselves imo

Ultimately a football clubs raison d'être is to finish as high up the table as possible.

If signing a player on loan helps to accomplish that then I'm sure the club will have no problem doing so. Don't forget we're talking about a player who was the subject of interest from the current European Champions.

And even they had no problem loaning Phillipe Coutinho last season.

Under Potter - Aaron Mooy was a key loan deal in the last summer transfer window. Less than 12 months ago.

Loan to buy at what was deemed to be a reasonable cost, completely different to getting another clubs talent up to speed to hand them back. A buy back option also favours the selling club massively, win/win for them.

Anyway this is just a pure guess from me

Fabrizio Romano from Sky Italy saying Andi Zeqiri is having a medical.. Izquierdo nearing a return and Andone potentially back in favour.

Connolly, Trossard, Maupay, Alexis and Jahanbaksh all scoring in recent games suddenly forward line is looking healthier. Apparently we've cooled down on a left wing back now. Central defensive midfielder could be the next inboud.

Please let it be Wilmar Barrios

Think he's still recovering from an injury, loan would make sense but according to a journalist for the scum we're no longer looking for a lwb because of how good Solly has been.

Having just read Barber’s statement, I think we can rightly forget about any more signings after Zeqiri.

I’m fine with that, we’ve got a strong first 11, good depth with Zeqiri added, some quality youngsters coming through and top coaches to continue improving the squad, we’re in for a good season.

You may well be right... I suspect you are, but you never know.

After Zeqiri, maybe 1 more in and 1 more out ?

Zeqiri coming?

I'll wait for the official announcement and the picture of him holding the shirt.

Maybe two out, certainly Gyökeres off on loan if Swiss Andy shows up.

Then I can’t help but think the club might cash in on Bernardo. There are a number of good replacement left backs or left wing backs on the market, we might have to do a loan though.
