It wasnt filmed anywhere near where the olympic stadium is.

They missed the opportunity of a lifetime by not shooting a remake in Croydon last summer.

I'm going to be lynched I never seen the godfather, not sure why, just never taken my fancy

Ditto on both counts.

May be my next Lovefilm pick.

Same here.

I'll also have to admit that I've never seen FMJ all the way through.
Ok chaps a quick scan of the tv guide tells me, you 3 have missed the 2 best/greatest films on terrestrial this week.

So what you're left with is:-
A clockwork Orange - Not to everyone's tastes and in fairness not brilliant.
But it is very much a film film.
You'll remember so many other films, made since that you thought were original and realise ACO did it first, getting banned help the film, no end.

No Country For Old Men - The Coen Brother's have made so many good films, this is one of their very best.
History will put the Coen's on a pedestal, and therefore this film will also be seen in the same light.

Probably not the most exciting anecdote but I worked on the Beckton Gasworks site in the late 1990's as it was being demolished and renovated and we had to stop work on a regular (weekly was usual) basis to get rid of unexploded Luftwaffe bombs - some of which were 500Kg!

Obviously a lot of bombs were lobbed that way during the Blitz and I guess they were a fair way below the ground on the whole but if one had gone up in the vicinity I'm sure it would have been adios muchachos for the Cast.....
