Not the real one
f*** me, this has always happened since I was watching '82. Thing is, in the past you moved away, now you can't. Then you have to sit next to the same **** the next game. Oh the joy of season tickets.
I remember sitting with my Grandad in the South when
I was about eight, and this bloke broke up with his wife as they say in front of me! Even Steve Penny couldn't distract me from the eastenders style crap going on in front of me.

I understand you just like to talk now and then but leave it for the concourse!!!

frustrating isn't it! time and a place some people sit in there seats in a football stadium to watch and support their team, some just talk about annoying shit for the whole 90 mins! " leave it for the pub or concourse exactly"

What a bizarre thread. We're not allowed to chat to our mates now! I have two kids and football is one of the few times a month I get out and let my hair down. I sit next to Weezle and it's almost the only chance we get to have a chat about "stuff." If people don't like it, tough shit.

This. some people are trying too hard to be proper "footy" fans.

It's not just about footie though. People talk through everything - we have just come back from paying a kings ransom to see Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace. Everyone there had paid and presumably wanted to be there yet still people turn up late and then chatter through the whole bloody thing. Makes my blood boil! I don't care what other people do, where they do it and when they do it as long as they are not ruining my paid for experience. And another thing...........

Personified by the U.S. football stadium scene in When Harry Met Sally - classic.

Have to say I struggle to keep up with everything going on on the pitch when I'm actually giving the 22 players my full attention, and marvel at those who can do so while talking (not that I've got a problem with it). Man was not put on this earth to multi-task.

There's a difference between talking during a concert and talking during a football match though. I hate people who talk at the cinema for example, but the football is a perfectly acceptable place to have a natter

This. I will be meeting up with a good mate on 25/8 for the first time for 4 months so will be talking utter shite for the whole 90 minutes probably. Does this make me a bad fan ?

Hope you aren't the dark-haired balding guy who sits about 10 rows up in West Stand Lower H block and annoys EVERYONE around him by being arsey, picking arguments, staying standing up long, long after the corner or whatever caused him to lift his big arse off the seat, so kids behind him can't see the action...

THAT'S what really pisses me off! We all sing, we all chant but we don't have to be so arrogant as to annoy those around us.

The same idiot also often goes and gets rat-arsed at half time, leaving 5 mins early to get his pint, coming back red-faced and late after the second half has started & getting in everyone's way. And he leaves matches 10 minutes before the end as well. Prat.

You really should say it as it is

Nowhere near as annoying as people talking at gigs. Music needs to be listened to, football needs to be watched. You can watch football with people talking inane nonsense in your ear, but you cannot listen to music whilst the same is happening.

This.

What a load of BS. Of the ten friends we have brought yickets with we travel from all over to the game and its the only time we get together mostly. We all enjoy the social as much as the footy so we'll talk about whatever we want to thanks. Personally I hope the OP ends up right next to us.

I had a family with two young boys sitting behind me last night. They spent virtually the whole game yelling at each other and playing games on their phones etc; and I doubt they watched more than a minute of the game. After 5 mins, I had to move seat.

NB. Must be getting old.

i don't understand people who go to matches and decide to speak about totally unrelated crap through the whole match! I'm pretty sure i heard some people near me's whole medical history and dieting techniques whilst trying to watch the match!

I had two blokes natter for the first 15 min of a game then start moaning about a player for not making runs:facepalm:
I turned round and explained his efforts in the first 15 minutes.
They were baffled:blush:

What a load of old bollocks, it was a friendly hardly a nailbiting meaningful affair.

And another thing, at least they bloody TURNED UP and paid to be at Kuipers testimonial, which is more than many other thousands of our fans did.

Was saying this just last week, it's football not a coffee morning!

Seriously?

To be fair, mate, your singing did break a few windows last night ;)

It's WALKING.

While we are all being bitches had some YOOF take the piss and say wtf does fdm mean?

Talkings fine I just find it very distracting I need all my focus to watch a match, each to there own. I'm usually to busy to notice anyway.
