I remember being perplexed at some of Potter's team selections, but this takes the biscuit. As some are saying, a team selected for Thursday.

From Naylor.

Steele
Veltman Dunk Webster
Lamptey van Hecke Baleba Estupinan
Lallana Enciso
Ferguson
Or 4-4-1-1, with Estupinan left-back behind Enciso, Lallana No 10 behind Ferguson

I did think during the Wolves game that we would use one of our centre backs as midfielder, but I said Igor. Looks like Webster or as Naylor more likely ITK JPVH

Can't see Webster at LB. Lamptey or (most logically) Estupinan at LB - which surely means one of our defenders - Webster or van Hecke - moving to DCM to add a bit of steel there.
Guess we'll all have to wait and see!

Indeed. Think it'll be JPvH as a holding midfielder. Webster not mobile enough IMO and really needs game time in his natural position.

If it is a defender in midfield it could even be Dunk? He’s by far the most technically gifted out of all of them

Right. We need a win. We deserve to beat these after their darks arts have robbed us too many times. Big game, big performance and BIG BALLS please. UTA

I’m feeling less confident after seeing this line-up.

I was hoping for a win, now I’m wishing that we don’t lose.

I’m normally optimistic - I remember when he played a heavily rotated side last season ahead of the cup, and it was all doom and gloom. I quite liked that team and thought we’d win it.

Today is the exact opposite, I really don’t fancy Webster, Baleba or Lallana at the moment and worried a bit about Steele too, although I’m an admirer of his generally.

One big positive is Palhinha being suspended for them, he’s their best player.

Well I'm not particularly optimistic seeing that, but I guess there's a need to rotate and all that.

We usually win when we get weird, unexpected line ups to be fair.

Would genuinely rather he just chucked Barco in from the start than Lallana.
