We had a poll about this a few years ago (before building work started at Falmer) and I remember that most people wanted Donny to be our first real fixture there.

I'd love it to happen, would be such a perfect way to start off.

I suppose "sister" does sound a bit cringeworthy, but I remember those times and how dark they were. Sometimes I think you should just go with your feelings... and the feelings from those days are still strong.
If I were grovelling, or looking to be "best buddies", I'd agree about the cringyness... but I'm not. I'm simply congratulating a club for which I, and many old, Donny fans, have warm feelings. Dont cringe... just accept it for what it is, in this cynical world that football has become.
BTW... Donny's Supporters Club voted for Brighton as the club to open the KM. Unfortunately, money talks, and Manure were chosen instead. I didnt go.

Little bit OS, I suppose, but I remember us going to Wolves on the last day of the season when they were promoted to the PL. We were just happy to stay up. Now THAT was a proper love in! Got loads of messages from Wolves fans saying what great fans Donny have and stuff like we were their next favourite club from then on etc.
Its good to be friendly and to get a reputation for it. I suppose its all because we remember how bad things can get and we're just happy to be here after all that. We've made a lot of friends since our dark days and Brighton were the first of those special ones.
When we come to the Amex, of course we'll want to beat you... but there are other things in life that are important too.
I'm proud we both have a reputation for playing good football... having said that, I'd take a clumsy, flukey, long ball, single goal win at the KC on Saturday, then at the KM next friday... then we can be sure of our love in next season.
(Now you can cringe, if you like:love:):laugh::laugh:
