From the ticket office re:-Spurs

10,000 to Tottenham in the late 70's, still considered by their fans as one of the biggest away turn outs.
4,500 TO Leyton Orient for 2 seasons

7,000 can be done but who really knows

If the police have set is at Cat C then that means more security not less. A match with Cat A status is one with the least probabilty of trouble going through B to C1 upto C5 ( I think ) meaning almost all out war is expected.
No its the other way around. The game against Arsenal was a category A game as is Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

I think there's a difference between Ticket Price Category and Police Hooligan Potential Category

The category C statuts refers to the ticket prices that Spurs charge – nothing to do with a trouble rating. They have three categories with A being the most expensive (Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, etc) and C being the cheapest (West Brom, Norwich, us etc). Saying that, it still looks like they're gonna be in the region of £30.

The 'Category C' for this game is not the same as any police category. It's the classification used by THFC for ticket prices. Category A is Manchester United, Arsenal, etc. Category B games are middling games. Category C games are games against Bolton Wanderers, etc.

All it means is that we will have to pay less for our tickets.

I think we will see 4500 easy but may struggle to sell the 7000. But fair dues to the club, we moaned about West Ham and they are trying to do something about it for this game.

I've not been to an Albion all-seater sell-out (bar Millennium) before - all the away games I've been to you get a seat-numbered ticket but you can sit/stand anywhere you like. If its to be a sell out, will we be forced to sit on the seat number thats on the ticket?

Why all this crap about how many tickets we sold for the play offs.
This is totally irrelevant as the next time that we sell that many is either the playoffs again or possibly FA Cup semi finals.

I think that we will struggle to sell 7,000 and if the club have to put the money up front I would suggest selling the allocation of 4,400 and then if there are are more available good if not tough on those that didnt act quick enough.

It might be another hundred years before we play Spurs at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup again, if ever!

I have to say I will be very surprised if we sell the whole allocation.

Once the usual S/T, FMS, Wombles and "I donated" brigade has been seen to any other fans possibly interested will have lost the will to live.

er...

I think that's how it works at every Spurs match. Unreserved seating (eg the Millwall game) only works if Clubs deliberately limit the number of tickets sold to a figure substantially lower than the capacity available.

It'll be a condition of the WHL Safety Certificate.
