It that claim based on any actual evidence? Have you met everyone who makes that kind of criticism?

It didn't stop 70 year old Ranieri. When he first came to England, he couldn't speak English, or at least had an interpreter for interviews.

Today, he is confident talking to the media. It's part of the job.

Wily old Bielsa speaks a fair bit of English, think there is an interview or two where he has actually corrected the translator's english for it not being what he meant in Spanish. You can't do that unless you speak the language. He just doesn't want to get anything wrong so doesn't risk it.

How do we know that what the translator says is what Bielsa has said. Even Bielsa wouldn't know!

He does because he’s corrected him before

"no fatty, no......no tired I said.... "

the way he looks at the translator after he says 'fatty' again at the end, hilarious! :lolol:

It was written, so I imagine it's a typo by whoever wrote it.

Yeah, teat makes no sense, perhaps he said "ubre" meaning "udder" and should have been translated as "bunch of tits"

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Let's hope Bielsa hears and understands this tuneful ballad from the North Stand on Saturday;
"Puedes meterte el maldito cubo en el culo.
Puedes meterte el maldito cubo en el culo.
Puedes meterte el maldito cubo en el culo. Puedes meter tu maldito cubo. ¡Métete el maldito cubo en el culo!"

It's been mentioned a lot that he can speak English, and does to his players. He only uses the translator for media duties (I don't know if this is confidence, a desire to avoid miscommunications, maybe he swears like a sailor and needs a buffer to stop him fouling the airwaves).
But as he has got older I'd imagine he requires a bit of support....

I would love the NS to sing/chant this but as we know they can't even sing in unison so no chance.

You'd hope that teat is some kind of typo, but it doesn't change the fact that Bielsa joined Leeds in June 2018.

Today, whenever he does an interview, he still uses an interpreter.

If he leaves at the end of the season, he will have spent 4 years in a high profile football manager role, not having learned to speak the native language....

He can speak it perfectly well to the players. He elects to do interviews with an interpreter, like Poch did, so as to eliminate any risk of ambiguity.
