Head and heart wants Froch - rate him so highly after his brilliant career shirking no challenges in the US or any opponent eg boxing pundits thought Bute was going to outclass Froch, but Froch literally destroyed him with incredible measured brutality.

Not sure how this will go. Froch can only give a better showing this time, but at some stage age will creep up on him.

When a big fight comes along like this with two pugilists that you like, I always feel so sorry for the loser. All that training and hype and then get battered.
As a previous poster said Eubank, Benn, Watson I liked them all.

Interesting stuff at the weigh in, Froch booed by large sections of the crowd, tries giving it all Billy Bigs Balls to Sky interviewer, for his part George, confident and focused yet modest and level headed at the same time.
This is his time, I go for a Groves knockout, round 3, 4 or 5.

We should know the result in 12 hours time. Leaving in an hour and can honestly say I feel like kid at Christmas.

Will be a great evening whatever happens, enjoy!

Just backed Maduma to win @13/8 with Betfred as I, like Ernest, think that Mitchell is past it.

Mitchell has weighed over the check in weight on the morning of the fight. IBF rules state a boxer must not weigh more than 10lbs over the Light Weight limit I think Mitchell has gone over by the best part of 12lbs which just goes to show how much most boxers boil down to. I presume most of that weight will be water and liquids.

The fight is still goig ahead but if Mitchell wins he won't put himself into the mandatory position.

Just can't get excited about boxing the way I was in the '80's and '90's, just don't seem to find the characters interesting. Shame I used to buy all the pay-per-views but now I am just not bothered even about this 'massive' event.

Your loss , if you knew anything about boxing you'd see this was a good undercard aswell as the main event.
