It was leaked about a year ago that the highest paid cricketer in the England team was £465,000, probably Pietersen I would guess. Not bad considering all the sponsors etc, but is tiny in comparison to the million pounds contracts on offer in the ipl.
Not sure about a county player, my guess would be about £50,000 a year??
