Good evening tonight. Laughable as it looked like Essex could of won the game with about 4 or 5 overs left and the Essex boys were singing then Sussex started to take wickets which then shut them up and they left with a wicket left

Apparently 5,000 or so according to a poster on Sussex CCC Messageboard - was there myself and the ground seemed pretty full to me....

Me and a few mates couldn't find anywhere to sit, pretty packed IMO.

taybha i did go and there were some empty seats in the new stand. the north end was full as there was loads of people standing up and i didnt hear what the crowd was

We sat in the APEX new stand and there were few gaps. Great performance tonight even though I feared we hadn't got enough runs.

I did the corporate stand tonight. Lots of empty seats, as most sat inside glugging free booze. What a waste, and poor atmosphere. but lots of free booze!!
