Poor catching and fielding and a total f***ing balls up of the batting order cost us that match
Putting Parnell in before Nasher, rates about as stupid as sending Wells in with a runner at Cardiff. Fuckwit

ooooh...just noticed the ground, didnt recognise it with people in the crowd. Its whitgift school or something like that and I got an hundred there a few years ago playing for a representative side vs the school old boys. Terrific wicket I remember!

Just back from the game. Our 3 dropped catches near the end of their innings allowed them to maintain their momentum. But what has Goodwin against Nash. Nash slowed everything down when he cam on to bowl - but only got 2 overs to Parnells expensive 4. And the Parnell comes in ahead of Nash to bat. Very strange

It was like batting on a rice pudding when I played there.

Was there today, great game of cricket.

Honestly thought 200 wasn't enough when we'd finished batting, but as an England fan, it was a pleasure to see Luke Wright bat like his old self. Something we haven't seen recently in an England shirt.

The difference between the 2 sides was the fielding. For once, Surrey were excellent. No dropped catches, some good boundary fielding and a stunning catch from Roy right on the boundary. And also, the spin of Schofield and especially 18 year old Ansari who has got massive potential. 6 games in and he's not been whacked about yet, which for a spinner in T20 cricket is impressive.

T20 needs more pitches like that. Make the bowlers think tactically rather than just bowl and hope for movement or swing.

We're off to Lords on Thursday before hosting Hampshire on Friday. Hopefully I'll be able to get down to Hove for the finale as well.

Added a couple of pictures below. First of which was just as Wright walloped a 6 off Tremlett into the hedge.
