Lawrence Scott, Peter Sillett and Peter Springett all played for England in the 50's and 60's and are not included in my list of six because I clearly said *cough* from the 70's onwards! Don't argue it's just a bit of fun.

I can't recall any England player in his 70's playing for us, let alone one whose surname ended in double t.

I think they tend to retire before they hit 40.

I suppose Peter Shilton was still quite old when he was turning out for the us in the end.
