Pah! working very late tonight and staying in London, so just been round the Turkish chippie and am currently sat at my desk scoffing humungous amounts of kebab neat and chip smothered in garlic mayo.

Hmmm.....garlic

Tonight, I shall be dining out at Gars.

Not been there for about 3 years, but it was top drawer at the time.

I think I will try my hand at making a DOSAI to celebrate DIWALI.

No idea how its going to taste, never made one before, but we ate them in Delhi and they are the boom ting!!

Mate it is a fine skill. Just get a take away from Chennai Dosa. Alternativley try the ethnic aisle in Tesco's. Whilst you are there try the Iddly and Saambar.

I haven't got a doorbell, so i can't phone for a takeaway that easily. If i do, i tell them to phone me. They rarely do, so that means them pressing on the bell that is there but doesn't ring itself through to my flat. Instead, the landlord, small and hairy, trots down the stairs, opens the door and says how he's ordered nothing whatsoever. I hear an argument ensue and as the voices raise i am forced to rush out of my flat into the warm shared space and smilingly say THAT IS MY QUATRO FORMAGGIO. The landlord scuttles back off upstairs to his steamy den, i hand money to the man in the helmet with an attitude, over-tipping him for the trouble, and then go back into my flat to gorge, but with a little bit of guilt festering in my bloated heart. I now have to phone and go and collect the fatty foods, nervously carrying oversized boxes of gluttony to wolf down thinking that passersby think it is all entirely for me.

What an interesting story.

I'm thinking about having another takeaway tonight, probably fish and chips. The stuffed pasta I was going to have just doesn't appeal right now.

Prolly have the pasta though.

The only thing with fish and chips is the lack of a decent chippy in the Queens park area. The best is probably the Sea Breeze on Southover Street but even that isn't very good really.

Git dahn to Tescs for those Dosais...

I cant. I have to MAKE them. I will cheat by buying the dosa flour, but not buying a ready made thing.

The one in Delhi was so good, I dont want build up hopes and dreams of the next one being brillio too, especially if its out a packet from Tescos. I may go down that road once I have set out on my adventure to make my own.

It's between fish and chips or toad in the hole with mash!
