I've been there. Stayed in (can't spell it, can't be arsed to look it up, but it sounds like) porridge (poric?). Bloody lovely. The coastline has a certain uniqueness, the rocky beaches, the trees. Have a wonderful time

I'm about 30 kilometers north of Poric in Umag, near the Slovenian border for the last few days. Tomorrow I'm off to Krk further down south for a few more days.

Absolutely brilliant spot, I am most impressed

when I got back on the sauce, I was pissed on two pints ! Marvellous scenes !

Similar, my first Offshore on the Forties Oil Field had me sans booze for 3 weeks. First night back in Aberdeen I was staggering after 3 pints!

I'm about 30 kilometers north of Poric in Umag, near the Slovenian border for the last few days. Tomorrow I'm off to Krk further down south for a few more days.

My only advice (not that it looks like you need any) on going up to Krk is, be sure to take a paddle

Little place nearby to Zadar? Trees near the rocky coastline are very Adriatic. One of my best holidays was spent on the Croatian coast. Loved the place and the people.

We went to the Bison Beach Bar opposite The Concorde last night, as we often do after work on Fridat. Drinking Seaside APA in the sunshine on the beach. Perfect.
