Think its not a good outcome for the UK whichever it goes. Le Pen would be a disaster for European stability and we will suffer, Macron take a very tough line with us over Brexit..

Not a question if the EU will collapse now - just a question of when.

Had it remained true to being simply a common trading market it could have flourished. But the arrogance of the unelected leaders to attempt to impose a political and an economic union on sovereign states would always end in tears.

First UK, next France. The house of cards is collapsing...

Agreed

Obviously the French public can see something you can't, same with Brexit here. The EU has helped to ruin some countries financially, now they ruin them culturally as well.

I think the French want change, not sure whether they have the guts to vote for it though.

This, The French don't want Le Pen to run their Republic, they want her to force an EU Referendum. They will then remove themselves from the EU.

In this country Ukip have been used by the British public to get a referendum and then they have been discarded after a successful outcome.

They will start rounding on Le Penn now to make sure she doesn't win, amazing really when all she wants to do is protect her countries borders. Hasn't enough gone wrong in France already, people will never learn.

If Le Pen gets enough votes. She will win. If not, she will lose. This 'rounding on Le Pen' talk is daft. Who voted for the 'other' parties? French people.

Macron. Unless you're a Brexiter so committed that you want our biggest trading partner to collapse and hang the consequencies for the UK.

France will look after no1 whatever the outcome and docent give a t88s about the UK ,trading or not . if it suits them to trade they will if it docent they won't its as simple as that

Whoever wins, Brexit gives the new French President the opportunity to play that favourite French pastime of all - stitching up the Rosbifs in Perfidious Albion good and proper.

I read something in the Times this morning. 49% of votes were cast for anti EU candidates. But we know how this works, the EU will just carry on blindly ignoring the obvious fact that they are the problem and no the solution.

Single market - wonderful idea.
Single state (which is the ultimate goal) - insane idea.

Let that sink in. France, the architect of and a country which really benefits from the EU, 49% of the votes were for anti EU candidates.

So 51% pro EU. That's a majority who prefer the EU then. Clear majority.

Correct. Was about to post the same.

The wishes of the 49% can be entirely disregarded. If they pipe up again they will be declared moaners or saboteurs.

on the other hand there might be more than the 49% who would vote LEAVE in a straight choice, rather than as part of a presidential election... not that they will be given the choice.

Yep, they are in the minority, albeit by a narrow margin but their wishes and thoughts on the EU are meaningless and they should just poke up with the fact the MAJORITY wish to vote for a pro EU candidate. Sheesh, talk about moaning whinge bags!

Recent studies show that every 1 out of 3 liberals are just as dumb as the other 2.

It's a shame to see the world slide into a Right Wing frame of mind. It never solves anything and people always end up with less rights, freedoms and people always end up dead.

How anybody with more than half a brain talk about percentages telling them this or that, after only the first part of a multi-choice vote,I really don't understand. After the vote-off between Macron and le Pen,fair enough, but till then utterly delusional.
A simple question or two for all the usual suspects screaming right-wing,Brexiteer,racism,but I don't expect any of them are honest enough,or clever enough to answer-
How many BAME or minority religious people are MEP's (not including British ones)? Is the EU a racist organisation?

On balance that's better than straight bananas though, right?
