Ignore the post code checker - its so out of date that it really isn't worth wasting the time checking.

We take a signal in BN1 from the Crystal Palace transmitter and its fine.

best box you can buy is from TVoncis (also sold in Currys/Dixons)
www.tvonics.com Made by ex Sony engineers

and its the most energy efficient when it goes to standby.

and its got an RF moulaltor (which means yopu can pug the ariel cable straight into the thebox).

get one with a hdd

I'm gonna get one with a hard drive. Anyone got any recommendations? They're 100-150 notes so pretty good value but I want to make sure I get a decent one.

Richer Sounds have got one for 60 quid

Topfield all the way

Thanks but a bit pricey for me. I don't want to spend more than £150. It's only telly after all.

quite

My parents in law have a feeview box and they live off King George VI Ave in Hove and have terrible reception - they have put an ariel booster on etc but the service is very flakey.

Even the main channels are affected with the signal stopping etc.....however when they use the TV through the ariel it is fine ( and they have swapped their unit out a couple of times)

With Digital Terrestrial Television it is better not to use signal boosters as they boost the imperfection in the signal also.

I was doing the same thing until recently and now that I have stopped using them my signal is much improved.

did they have the ariael's directorion checked? the digital signal is exceedingly precise in its coverage comared to the analogue, which sprays out signal all over the place. So its much easier to pick up a poor analogue signal than it is to get a good digital one.

Same for us. I think we also had E4 but no E4+1. There is a huge difference on signal strength between them.

If you re-scan, do it on a nice, non cloudy day. I always find that picks up more channels.
