Got freeview, but in the withdean area, there seems to be loads of channels missing, even though the website says i should get every channel

Is this the same Brighton over?, and has anyone tried a Signal Booster, and do they work to get the missing channels.
My limited knowledge of them is that they only work on terestrial ariels? is this true

Just would be nice to able to watch ITV 1&2, Channel 4, E4 etc

Hi, I can't comment as to Freeview reception in Brighton but here in Liverpool I initially had the same problem. A little careful adjustment of the aerial did the trick. Then run the 'find channels' or whatever it's called on the box and perhaps you'll be lucky.

Have you got any buildings blocking your view of the transmitter at Whitehawk ?

Just re-scan the box and you should pick up the channels you are missing. Otherwise, you might need to get a better aerial.

If the transmitter is in whitehawk then the railway embankment is not blocking anything

That would explain why Channel 4 kept cutting out last night.

Still have not finished all the beer that was left that night.

When I lived in Withdean I couldn't get any freeview channels but then again I haven't lived in Withdean for about 15 years

I feel it necessary to point out that I had/have nothing to do with your arial not working...

I got one, they are a f***ing nightmare. the only answer you get after racking up a hugh bill is buy a new ariel. I got £40 refund and 2 months free after caslling in and complaining and I still do not have all the channels!!

its not looking good then
the ariel is a communal one for the block of flats

NTL/Virgin dont have cables in our area, and the managment of the flats are charging RIDICULOUS amounts to connect to the shared dish on the roof and wont let us have our own mini dish
