Just turned the TV on and it suddenly went black, checked other channels, nothing working. Checked https://istheservicedown.co.uk/status/freeview-uk/map and it seems a lot of areas suffering same issue, so don't call an engineer

Maintenance day at the Whitehawk transmitter. TV and radio could be down for over an hour throughout the day.

Nice one OP, thanks. After a lot of swearing and retuning, that’s solved my problem. In the doghouse though for assuming my wife had caused the problem by yanking the cables about!

Thank God I didn't turn the telly on or I would've suffered a similar meltdown with adverse impact on domestic bliss!!

Knew I should always look on here. Spent 30 mins of frustration and trial trying to get my 90 mum to re-tune her TV. Which we did by the way, but of course now I know why that did not fix it.

Mine went completely in BN1 but all channels are back now. Expect possible further interruptions this week perhaps though:

Thanks, I have just called my mum in Bn3 she says she still has issues. I in work meeting now. I will call her again later i may have to talk her through retuning
