YB40: Sussex vs. Worcestershire FREE entry – thanks to LED Sport Europe
Sussex County Cricket Club are pleased to announce an exciting new five-year partnership with LED Sport Europe, which will see a new LED big screen replacing the existing scoreboard, plus new LED perimeter boards at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Hove.
As part of the new affiliation, LED Sport Europe have agreed to sponsor the Yorkshire Bank 40 clash with Worcestershire Royals on Sunday 5th May, and have agreed with Sussex that there will be free entry to all supporters.
It means that the first Yorkshire Bank 40 match of the season at Hove will be guaranteed a big attendance and an increased support for the Sharks as well as giving LED Sport Europe the opportunity to showcase the big screen by streaming live match footage.
LED Sport Europe provided the big screen replays at three non-televised matches last season, and are set to be able to provide a similar service this season with the main scoreboard being converted to an electronic version shortly before the beginning of the new campaign.
Hove has been a fantastic hunting ground for Sussex in the competition over the past couple of seasons, having qualified for two semi-finals with the Sharks hoping to go one better this year.
All supporters MUST gain their ticket for free entry in advance of the day, and they can do this by clicking HERE or calling the Ticket Office directly on 0844 264 0206. Tickets will be limited to four per person maximum.
Anyone attending on the day without a ticket will be asked to pay the usual Yorkshire Bank 40 price of £15 for Adults or £5 for Juniors. Supporters are advised to apply for tickets as soon as possible as demand is expected to be very high. Members of course can gain free entry to the match by bringing their membership cards as usual.
Zac Toumazi, Chief Executive of Sussex Cricket, said, “We’re delighted to be able to form this partnership with LED Sport Europe, which we hope will bring many benefits to both parties. Thanks to their generous support we are able to offer the Worcestershire clash as a ‘free match’.
“Hopefully the waiving of the admission fee will encourage not only new visitors to Hove but also those who have not been to the ground in a while, particularly with the fantastic new redevelopment which has been undertaken.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for first time visitors and the local community to experience all that the ground has to offer, engage with the Sussex family and get behind the Sharks.”
Ed de Lucy, Managing Director of LED Sport Europe, said “We are delighted to have formed a five-year partnership with Sussex County Cricket Club to supply the new LED big screen and perimeter boards.
“The new big screen and perimeter boards will help enhance the match day experience for supporters with live match coverage and replays.
“We hope that supporters will also take advantage of the free entry for the match against Worcestershire and enjoy what is anticipated to be a great match!”
Apart from the excellent cricket to watch visitors will be able to enjoy the Sussex Beer Festival, with a range of Real Ales from around the County on offer, as well as the Street Entertainers that will also be in the ground on the day.
