Must admit I thought perhaps Wimbledon fans might have given up too easily?

They decided to form their breakaway club almost straight away but I suppose the writing was on the wall for them.

Must admit too I don't lose any sleep over some MK Dongs fan going on about signing some of our players, it's highly unlikely any self respecting player would want to sign for them!!

The only players that are interesting other clubs are our better ones and they are likely to go higher up I think.

The likes of Lawrence and Steve Roberts and possibly Craig Morgan are the ones who will be coveted along with Carlos Edwards when he is back fit. They are all players who could move into the Championship with ease not bugger about in this league or at worst Chester City!

As for Hector Sam if they want to take him off us then give us £20 and they can have him :lolol:

You inherited 80 quid? Thats not too much...

MK Dons are bastards. We all knew that though, this just proves it even more so

Sure, they can go nick players cheaply if they want, but gloating about it on their site is a nono.

Luton fans' peaceful protest against the franchising of football is all
ready to go.

On Saturday 20th November, Luton supporters will assemble and walk from
Station Square to outside the MK Dons club offices at the National Hockey
Stadium, from 11:30. They will be protesting about the removal of a
football league club from the community that gave birth to and raised it,
and its implantation in the vicinity of other established league clubs.

A Luton fan commented: 'All Hatters have had a difficult choice to make when
deciding to attend this game or not, and it's terrific that both attendees
and boycotters will be joining together to express their disapproval at the
existence of a football franchise.'

Ok, 2 things.

Afc Wimbledon were formed after a legally binding descision was made by the 3 man FA commision. After that descision had been made, against the wishes of the FA as it happens, and MK had been deemed the conurbation of Wimbledon there was NOTHING that could be done to stop the team moving. Absolutely nothing. The move was cast iron legally done and Wimbledon fans would only have been able to stop it by getting the FA to reverse it's commision descision and admit they were wrong. Do you really think that woiuld ever have happened?

2 days after that trhe Wimbledon supporters trust voted to set up a new team called AFC Wimbledon. They had done all they could to keep WFC in London, preferably Merton, and there was nothing further they could do.

Secondly this is a link to a great interview with franchise fc supporters club chair.

That's about right, MYOB.

The trouble with my family is that they have been committed lefties for generations.

For fifty years, my grandparents were tenants of a three bedroomed flat in Rotherhithe. During her tenancy, it passed from her private landlord to Southwark Council and my grandmother acquired the "right to buy" - with maximum discount - that all council tenants had.

She refused this, on the grounds that she was opposed in principle to the council selling off its assets.

Meanwhile, Rotherhithe saw the closure of the Surrey Docks and the transformation of the area into a yuppies' paradise.

When she eventually died, I could have been the proud inheritor of a three bedroomed flat (with a garden and private parking space) in the heart of London's Docklands (one hundred yards from Canada Water tube station).

Have you SEEN the price of properties like that?

Instead, I bought a colour TV on the proceeds.

:(

At least my grandparents taught me the importance of sticking to your principles. Despite living for years in SE16, my grandad was a Charlton Athletic fan until he died. Which explains why I am genetically incapable of having any soft spot for Millwall.
