Another dull game and another where the favourite had the little bit of luck/edge to scrape a win. Often the way in group games.

The knock out stages will clear out some overrated teams like the French and Danish.

As gutsy as Peru were, I don't really understand the mindset of teams who are 10 minutes away from going out of the World Cup, a once in every four years tournament, and don't throw the absolute kitchen sink at it. If you haven't been able to get in and around the penalty area all game, why on earth would you keep your defenders back at the end? I'd rather lose 2-0 having thrown 10 men forward than lose out 1-0 and be left wondering what could have been.
