Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I found this screen shot of fox news report of the Toulouse shootings last week.
I knew fox news is dire, but this is like their news desk is run by a team of 9 year olds

It's clearly a fake but don't let that stop you from feeling all smug about how much cleverer you are than Americans.

Ah, my bad for not cross checking it. This was sent to me by several of my Facebook friends and took it at face value. Slightly unfair calling me smug? One of the people who sent it to me is American. I wasn't taking the piss out of Americans, just Fox news. And a majority of intelligent Americans think Fox news is utter tosh as well.
Believe me fella, my intelligence isn't at such a level to be smug about people. Apart from palace fans :)

oh the irony... not that you claim to be a journo. I know Fox has a bad reputation no doubt deserved, but the errors were so obvious you'd have to be a team of 9 yearolds without access to the internet or any refernce material to come up with that.

Indeed, although 9 year old is slightly generous. Remember that old quote? If you put enough monkeys in front of keyboards you'll come up with a shit N.S.C thread.
Shame the signatures have been turned off. Mine would be "powered by a thousand monkeys" :)

The problem is that faux news is such a joke that a screen shot like that is all too believable. Go check the site Right Wing Watch, it has a collection of screen grabs from faux in which exactly those kinds of 'mistakes' are made. IIRC for example they once labelled Egypt as Iraq.

The point is it's NOT believable except to those who really want it to be true.

It's not about being superior to Americans it's feeding into the understandable contempt people have for such a biased news source. Shame it's such a lamentably obvious fake.

Except, of course, the original screen cap on which the false one is based is, as the page debunking it points out, on on which faux news posted a picture of Tina Fey and captioned it as Sarah Palin. faux news is a joke to anyone but the brain dead right wingers who all too much want to think it is 'fair and balanced'.

And of course study after study has shown that despite watching faux news their viewers consistently come out as the least informed people on virtually any given subject.

Now I know those are only surveys and statistics but when EVERY SINGLE study shows that faux news consistently misinforms it's viewers you have to begin to ask if it is just a coincidence.
