I haven't read a single NSC prediction for next season which is a straightforward prediction of where we will finish.

All the predictions have been tainted with an attitude towards the replacement of Wilkins by Adams:-

1. Wilkins would have got us to the playoffs next season.

2. Adams will do better than Wilkins did last season.

3. It'll be a disaster. Adams won't achieve what Wilkins did.

4. It'll be an amazing season. Adams is god.

Take your pick.

I'm waiting to see this squad play some League One football before I start to give the matter any thought.

i predict 7th

5. If we don't finish at least 7th, Adams should be put in the stocks at Withdean and pelted by rotting Liberal Democrats.

It was Hartlepool's first home game following the death of one of their players......when Richie Barker scored for them he kissed the armband as a mark of respect....when we scored the winner Tommy made the same gesture in front of the home fans....I guess the only person who truly knows if it was done as a mark of respect or derision is Tommy himself!
Did you see him do that? I didn't. And Richie Barker said post match that there was nothing like that. It seemed to originate from one fan on there messageboard saying it...

A Hartlepool United fan's view :-

Opposition player you despise - 'Tommy Elphick's a nasty piece of work.'

Oh Dear Tommy I think you upset them up there last year! I think they are still a bit sensitive of the circumstances of the game.:glare:

Yet we still hate Scott McGleish for scoring against us and celebrating in an ott way 10 years on, is it not the same?

Edit: sorry I forgot to put WANKER in the original post
