I think Jimmy Case had signed both of them the previous day and was full of praise about how they'd fire us out of trouble. I think they burst onto the scene against Cambridge. After the first 45 minutes we were 2-0 down and the deadly duo had been as much use as a condom machine in the Vatican. Adekola failed to reappear for the 2nd half and was never seen again.

I don't usually associate with 'worst player' threads or talk. Players are picked by the manager and as long as they play to the best of their ability that's as much as they can do.

However, whenever I see one name mentioned in the press my hackles rise. Most of you are too young to remember him playing for the Albion.

Joe Kinnear put in the worst performance I've ever witnessed from a professional player in a single match in a game at The Den. He was actually pissed but he couldn't be taken off as, in those days, there were no substitutes.
