McGhee won in the League Cup and JPT? Whereas we lost those respective games this season? Poor comparison

League Cup yes, we had a bye in the JPT. Why is it a poor comparison? McGhee was slaughtered on NSC when we lost 5-1 at home to Stoke the previous season, in a match which was surely more meaningless, and certainly under more extenuating circumstances, than a JPT/League Cup defeat?

Isn't that NSC in itself though

Dean Wilkins (sigh!!!!) was sacked by Dick Knight (ANTICHRIST!!!) when we were seventh, so if there is any KARMA then Bloom (Jury is OUT, anyone can buy affection spending £91m on a stadium), should sack Poyet and his fellow South African and re-install Dean in his rightful place.

£93m... please get it right

I'd say we've only lost 1 key game out of 4 myself.

ex-bloody-actly  and that was to a team who will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

shouldn't even be a comparison McGhee should have gone after the Stoke game. He had lost it

4 September 2006 we had 7 points
4 September 2010 we have 7 points

I dont'd understand - surely we must've played more games in 2006 then we have today? 17th - 7th = big difference!

Mark McGhee was sacked, and our record for the season was P7 W3 D1 L3.

Under Gus this season the record is P6 W2 D1 L3

thats as maybe, but this year is an improvement last year and personally i call that progress :albion1:

Considering if we win our game in hand we go 2nd, I'd say it was slightly different.

 :lolol:

I'm still waiting for someone to point out how we were 10 places different with 7 points? I'm guessing we'd played at least one game more?

Can someone post the table 4 yrs ago TODAY - dont know how to do it?

This is the table as of our game after the first Saturday in September (02/09/06)
Brighton and Hove Albion | Match | Table

We were 16th.

Doncaster played on the Sunday (03/09/06) leaving the table like this:
Doncaster Rovers | Match | Table

At that everyone in the division had played 6 league games (we didn't play in the jpt until mid october). At the moment, we have played 4, most others in our division have just played their 5th.
