Additional: For those of you who have been in hospitality before, you will know that there are no draught beers in there. In an effort to alleviate this, well, scandal, our friends at Harveys Brewery are supplying a keg of Harveys Bright Best Bitter for consumption during the evening. And all at a nice price. I always considered Harveys to be brain food.

Quiz Night IMPORTANT NEWS - Please read if you intend to come...

Due to circumstances beyond my control, (no really), the Forty Notes Quiz Night on Friday December 10 will now be held in the Function Room of The Ladies' Mile pub in Mackie Avenue, Patcham.

The pub is about 1/3 mile north of Withdean in the heart of Patcham. We have a separate function room (in an annexe on the site), and the landlord will hopefully be putting Harveys behind the bar there where normally it wouldn't be served. The capacity in there is around 120. The owner is a mad keen Albion fan.

Other than that, everything else in as before. So those who were coming to Withdean for the quiz, come on down to the Ladies' Mile instead. Some great prizes from the Albion, Skint, Coral's and more... See you there!

I've just been to look at the room at the Ladies Mile. It's absolutely ideal. It's in a separate building to the right of the pub as you approach it. However, although it's obviously not my fault, I do apologise in advance for the decor. It's a bit, um, noisy for most people's tastes...
