Utterly, utterly RIDICULOUS.

No player is 'fully committed' to the Albion. beyond their own security and career.

Clearly, his alledged behaviour on Friday / Saturday is hugely unproffessional if true, but only a fan who has seen very very few games over the last 2 seasons could possibly question NF's commitment. If they all gave what he does for the cause, we wouldn't have had to watch two years of utter turd.

Spot on. What Poyet will need to learn is that there are all types of individuals at a club and they all need handling differently at times. OK I want a strong type as our manager but sometimes you need to look at a pro like forster who has been the ONLY real class act we have had for some time now and give him some respect. If that means bending a little on certain issues then so be it. You dont think that the top premiership managers dont get arsy with players and their agents at times. The trouble here is that I dont want to see a cutting off your nose type situation to develop here like we had a while ago with lots of discontment amongst the squad. That could spell disaster come the end of this season if that happens.

Give over. You're talking like the bloke is Cantona. He's an aging League One pro who has been put well and truly in his place by the manager after taking the piss, and then thrown his toys out of the pram like a teenager.

If there were ten more cases like this, I might begin to think there was something wrong with Gus's people skills. Until then, it's a manager doing what he has to do, stamping his authority on the team.

He was right to drop Forster for the match, and any comments afterwards should be taken in the context of a bloke who has just been robbed of two precious points by a c**t of a referee. He hasn't then got time to be fair to someone who wasn't even playing (and had to all intents and purposes made himself unavailable for selection).

I'm very disappointed in Forster. He hasn't done half of what Poyet has in the game at the top level, who the **** does he think he is.

If Poyet is seriously thinking about building a team for the next 3-4 years with the hope of taking it into a higher league then naturally he's not going to be considering a 36 y/o player vital to his plans when putting together that side.

Forster has been great for us in his time here, BUT, it would be irresponsible of the club to be tying him into a long term contract.

Offering him 1 year contracts at this stage of his career shouldnt be seen as snubbing him, more as offering him the chance to still play and prove himself.

When Forster starts banging in the goals for one of our rivals next year, everybody will be saying "why didn't the club try harder to keep him".
Nicky Forsters don't come around that often, only the Johnny Dixons.

There was quite a loud rendition just as the game was starting.

As quick as it started so it finished and was not heard again.

Somebody suggested on another thread that NF is on £8k per week which is rather suprising because in yesterdays tabloids they said that Victor Moses wages had risen from £3k to £18k per week when he signed for Wigan so it seems odd that we would pay more than Palace who are in The Championship and have better gates than we do. League rules stipulate that the wage bill can only be a certain % of the income generated.

But when that player could score the goals to get the side promoted at least 1 league I think he should consider him, I dont see whats wrong with a 1 year contract with a clause for a second down to games played

I dont agree with one year left alone 2, arnt we meant to be gettin rid of the deadwood? He WOULD be dead wood, look a hart, you cant fault the passion but he is just not good enough, paying by the game sounds about right

dead wood are you sure whats that make the others. he wants one year poyet said no contracts would be given out the el abd was given one

he then agreed with poyet that he would go on the transfer list if not possible
poyet agreed then got the hump when it was made public how does one advertise a car without putting up an advert

we are now doomed if brighton dont bite the bullet and offer the man who gives 110 percent a game a contract what price relegation

Good player? absolutely.

But if the rumours are true that he handed in his request on the coach that is completely ridiculous and unforgivable for me, its clearly a case of 'me want contract or I throw my toys out the pram', we can do without that, we need harmony in the squad and Foz pulling tricks like this are not good at all, I also thought we looked a much more together team on Saturday.

request was handed in day before. saturday he wasnt allowed on the coach /
no toys pram scenario just a normal man wanting a security and deserves it which wasnt given

I'm beginning to wonder about Forster's contribution over the past few years now. As fans, we've seen him score goals and look the part of a senior pro on the pitch, but when you look at the way we've underachieved, and see this sort of stroppiness, it makes you wonder if he was ever fully committed to the Albion in the way you'd hope from one of your highest earners...

I will say that if Poyet and Forster don't see eye to eye, then there is only one winner here. Get rid, and quickly, IMO.

yeah lets go for the manager who has no management experience has us in the bottom 4
and drops our top scorer because he wants a well earned contract
very sensible

If anyone should be moving on at the club forster should be the last:angry:

If a player keeps banging in the goals regardless of age then whats the problem?yes 2 years maybe steep but im sure we could compromise somewhere.Forster is a very level headed passionate and loyal man who deserves to be respected.

Christ if twats like mayo can get contracts then why not forster?
